Location is fantastic easy walk to Navy Pier, Mag Mile and tons of Places to eat. The room was small but we spent little time there. It was clean and staff was very friendly. Vianca at the front desk was accommodating and pleasant, She helped us with parking in the area and things to do. Our room was incorrect at check in and she fixed immediately. Tamika was pleasant to work with as well. Only downside is room does not have an iron or ironing board. We called the front desk and Tamika got one for us as quick as she could. Great stay and would absolutely book again.

I will start by saying I was a bit skeptical about this being a Red Roof property, I’m usually a Hilton girl, but within minutes of walking in the door that skepticism was gone. Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly,quickly checked in. Valet parking isn’t cheap but it is highly efficient and convenient. Up to our room, we were expecting 2 queen beds and were pleasantly surprised to find 2 kings. The beds are super comfortable, like I don’t want to get up comfortable. Our room was thin but long . Bathroom was a good size, single sink but large walk in shower. Location is fantastic, several restaurants within walking distance, subway very close, and also one of the Hop On Hop Off bus stops. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Trapped in Elevator

Ever been trapped in an elevator? No? Well after staying at the St. Clair, I can say that I have had that experience. My boyfriend and I stayed one night and on Memorial Day I went to get us coffee from Starbucks. On the way back up in between the 10th and 11th floor the elevator stalled. Luckily, I had my phone and drinks from Starbucks. I pressed the Help button and the woman told me that she would send a technician. My boyfriend was in contact with the front desk and the general manager who gave him updates. Someone did come and shout down to me on two occasions to see how I was. I was trapped for 90 minutes and then rescued by a lovely man, but there was no one from the hotel with him. It seemed to me that there should have been someone there. He told me that is rare to occur and that I should play the lottery. The GM called the room again and talked to my boyfriend and did give us the stay for free. I would have given the hotel 5 stars originally but the whole experience put a very bad test in my mouth. When we checked out no one asked how I was. It is a very scary experience to be trapped and alone in an elevator in a city that you are visiting.

The hotel is located very centrally, just off the Magnificent Mile. The room was rather small and the bathroom even smaller. However, the reception straff, in particular Jeanine, was very friendly and extremely helpful.

This hotel offers the bare necessities, however the location is ideal. The rooms are very, very clean. ( I feel like this is a newly renovated hotel?) They are small, but efficient.Certainly not a "luxury" hotel, but very comfortable. I do recommend this hotel because the price point is reasonable, especially for the perfect location. Besides location, the staff is extraordinary. Forgive me if I misspell, but individuals I would like to recognize are Tamika, Kyle, Larry, Armica, Vianca, and Robert. They greeted us with a smile and warmth.

Pet Policy: One family pet not to exceed 40 pounds is permitted at no additional charge. Pet must be declared during registration and kept on a leash when outside guest room. Pets must never be left unattended in the guestroom and when you walk your pet please clean up after your pet.

**There is no parking on-site at this location. Our current valet parking rate is 58.00 per vehicle, per night of stay this includes in and out privileges. The total for all vehicles for the entire stay is collected at check-in. Reservations for the valet parking service are not required. Custom vans, dually trucks, and other oversize vehicles may not be able to be parked. Trailers and motorcycles cannot be parked.

The hotel requires a credit card or debit card authorization for the full cost of the entire reserved stay, including parking if applicable, and an incidental deposit of 75.00 at the time of check-in. Cash is accepted at check-out. This hotel does not accept pre-paid or 3rd party debit cards. There is an ATM in the hotel for these transactions.
