I've stayed in some questionable places, but this takes the cake. The first sign something isn't right was at check in when the people are behind bullet proof glass. Huge pile of concrete and trash in the parking lot, broken bottles and needles places. Room said non smoking but you could tell it used to be because of the old cigarette smell. Bathroom vanity was broken, tub and floor was dirty and you could see hand prints all over the walls and ceilings. Bed had creaky springs and wasn't comfortable. A pipe even broke and was leaking in another part of the motel and in the AM 2 sets of people were sleeping in their cars. I was surprised not to see a chalk outline of a body or the cops there. Oh, and they double charged our card. AVOID.

After seeing three stars on Tripadvisor I expected this hotel to be ok for a budget hotel. When I got there, however I was in for a nasty surprise. The room was really run down, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the TV didn't work. Outside the room there was dirty laundry sitting in the hallway and trash in the parking lot. I was hit on by staff in the lobby and outside my room, and I felt very unsafe there (even though I wasn't staying there alone). I would recommend staying very far away from this place. I didn't even stay the night and decided to find another hotel even though it was too late to get a refund.

the worst ever

arrived late in the day to attend a memorial service when we got to the room it was in total disrepair. shoddy furniture you couldn't sell at ajunk sale. tv analog and very poor reception besides. very dicey neighborhood to boot. went to shower in the morning and when we attempted to turn on the shower the knob just came off the wall. don't go by the pictures on the site, i have encountered this a few times with red roof, i stay in natick mass, close to boston, and it is very nice, traveled to florida and thinking it would be similar was disapointed in the same way just not as badly, i realize the units are independitly owned but obviously red roof does not moniter the units they are putting there name on i will not take another chance with them again

Good place for a rest

My husband and I stopped here on the second night of our vacation after a long day of driving and touring the historical buildings in Washington, DC. I will admit to my initial misgivings when I pulled up to the building and saw an iron security fence around it. We went into the office, and the manager was friendly, got us checked in, and said we could turn in our RediCard for reward points in the morning. He also gave us some directions for catching transit back to Washington the next day for more sight-seeing. We got up to the room and unpacked. It was extremely spacious, much larger than either of us expected. The carpet could use some updating, and the room was rather dark, but it was comfortable and I enjoyed my night's rest. The next morning, we got checked-out, got our reward points, loaded the car, added ice to our chest, and were on our way. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and restful (which is what we wanted!)

Whenever wife and i are in B'more for more than 2 days we always book RR Inn Nothwest since the location is at the center of most things we do. The Habor is bout 20 minutes by subway with many fine resturants as well as shoppes. The staff i always have fun with, from the front desk to the friendly keepers. Habiyb...حبيب
