Overpriced, shoddy, not nonsmoking
This is an expensive Red Roof and it certainly isn’t the best of them. I’ve stayed in several now and this is definitely lacking. The lobby is nice and has vending machines but the rest of the property is rundown and a little trashy. Checked in for a reserved superior room and doesn’t seem like any was available and first two rooms were both smoky beyond comfort and not even clean yet. Then, 3rd room, although seemed to be clean, still had a lingering smoke smell that was only alleviated by spray Febreze all night. I would have just gone somewhere else, but was so tired by this time that I just stayed. But my clothes and luggage still smell like smoke. There is no large flat screen tv as advertising says. It’s fairly small. The room needs a refresher. Just kind of dingy. But the biggest issue is that if Red Roof wants claim to be non-smoking, they need to make sure that they don’t put non smoking rooms near smoke rooms and make designated spots for smokers that aren’t near the non smoking rooms. It’s frustrating. I have bad allergies and so even the remnant of smoke makes me wheeze and my eyes get red and watery. This was probably be acceptable but over 80 bucks for a room and this is the quality. Not again. Such a drastic change from one Red Roof to the next. Only chose the b/c I had free nights and am traveling with a pet. But, if you can, I’d find someplace cheaper. Staff was pleasant but not very accommodating when I had to be given my 3rd room.
