Where do I start, it was one of the best Red Roof's I have been to. The staff was awesome and they went out of there way to help me. Not only that, but the rooms were very clean. I would go back to this hotel whenever I am in the New Braunfels area. Would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.

Terrible! Rethink this choice if you have the chance!

The only thing pleasant thing about this visit was the employee that made my reservation. I should of checked the room first before bringing in my things. the comforter was dirty, the sheets were stained, the bathroom was moldy, the dresser had a broken drawer and there was hole in the wall from the door knob. Will not stay here again!

One night stay only...thank goodness!

Yes, I know if you are trying to find somewhere economical for only one night you shouldn't set your expectations too high. But even for less than $100 a night some things should still be cleanliness. The floor in our room was so dirty we had to clean our black feet after walking on it. The parking lot outside our room was loaded with people's trash too. I realize it's not the hotel's fault that people that stay there have bad manners and litter....but the trash was there for all afternoon and still there the next day. When we told the front desk about all the garbage in the parking lot the lady just looked at us and handed us a receipt. I guess we just expect too much out of customer service?! And someone used the hood of our car as an ash tray during the night and left beer tabs on the hood. From now on, I'm going to suck it up and just pay my normal $150-200 a night even if just for one nights stay. Obviously under $100 a night is NOT going to get you much anymore. I am contacting the main office and asking for our money back.

For a Red Roof Inn It Is A Great Hotel
May 26, 2017

Here's the deal... as far as Red Roof Inn's go... if you don't know it's a Two Star Hotel Chain I don' know what to tell you. However this RRI gets a five star review knowing you've chosen to stay at a two star hotel chain. RRI is very pet friendly. When travelling with three small dogs they didn't blink an eye. The front desk associate was friendly, chatty in a good way, and pleasant to deal with. Go stay in Baton Rouge LA or Baltimore MD and you won't find a nicer front desk. Here's another thing. It's expensive for a RRI on the weeknds. But it's priced as one of the cheapest competitively in the city during Schlitterbahn Season. It is what it is. It's hard to complain about it being expensive for a RRI when only Motel 6 and Super 8 are the only cheaper chains. This location is well above that. To be honest it is about La Quinta Class but cheaper than the price to stay at La Quinta during the weekend during peak season. The Hilton Garden Inn is too expensive than the average HGI during peak season. Yes you will often spend 50-60 here on an off season or weekday stay off season. As far as the room there are hardwood foors, thus proving how pet friendly it is. The large King is a great room and there is a work desk for late night reviews such as this. Wifi is improved from the last visit. The blankets are ok nothing to write home about but not horrible by any means. Bed slept well. Microwave and mini fridge. The lighting in upgraded. You still have a side unit instead of Central A/C but honestly those, when put on full blast, honest make a room colder than an Central unit in summer. Especially when the Central Units have a minimum of 68 like most do. The toilet was the only main issue. It didnt flush well. Ample space, good location, clean room, big bed, pet friendly. Reading the reviews I was hesitant to stay here but then when you read eople leaving 1 stars because of noisy teenagers on a given night drinking makes me laugh out loud. Oh no the blankets aren't goose down!

What a joke
May 20, 2017

This place is a joke! Upon check-in we were given the wrong room type. Asked her to change it to the king was told no we didn't book a king and they could not change what we booked without a printed confirmation page(which I forgot) Asked her to just cancel the original reservation and make new with a king, was told they didn't have any. Asked if they had a computer and printer so I could print the confirmation out even though she could clearly see it on my phone and it very much stated a king. So we went to the next hotel up the road where they did let me use their printer and went back with the printed confirmation. She then said oh yes now I can change it. Really bc you just said you didn't have 1. After concert came back to room where for the next 3 hours we were kept awake by load guests the manager pounding on doors waking up sleeping guests bc he couldn't figure out what room was making noise. In the am went to get coffee at 8:58 and was told it was gone breakfast ends at 9 so no more would be made. Returning to room realized I didn't have the key went to front desk to get 1 and the manager refused to give me a key bc I didn't have id bc it's locked in the room. I said just go with me and I'll show you id when I get in room, he said he could not go to room with me. So locked out of room for 45 minutes just sitting on steps bc there of course is nowhere to sit by pool or in lobby or anywhere while the manager who said he couldn't leave the desk went in and out to his car, talked on his cell phone and ignored guests, until a maid got on duty and opened the door. After the maid let me in I got my I'd and went to show him that indeed it was my room and asked for owners phone number and he informed me that he is 1 of the owners and he asked if I was ready to check out. No I said I have been sitting on the stairs bc you would let me in my room so how could I be ready. He said we would be charged a late check out fee. Absolutely will never stay at another Red Roof Inn again.
