This place is terrible. I travel a lot for both business and personal reasons. Even compared to some bad properties in third world countries this place is bad. We were traveling over the New Years Holiday. Other brands in Blytheville were full, but Red Roof Inn had almost no one. That should have been our first clue. When we rolled up at 10pm we thought the place was abandoned. The temperature was near zero and we had been traveling most of the day, so choose to stay. I've used Red Roof Inn throughout the US and always pleased for the value I received. The temperature in the room was turned up to 85, which was ridiculous. The room was old and worn, but the price was cheap so we weren't too bothered. I decided to shower and found not one, but two used wash clothes still in the tub/shower. Apparently this was not really cleaned. That was disturbing. The beds weren't terrible, but the bedding was old and worn and poorly patched, and the pillows had some stains but had fresh cases. We tried to settle in when the mice got active. Ok, this is farm country and mice inside is not unusual, especially given the extreme cold relative to this part of the south. However there were multiple mice, they did not want to leave our room. We had a small bag in the trash that had contained some food, but now was empty. They mice could not resist the bag, getting into it, and chewing on it. This remained disturbing throughout what became a very short night and visit. Around 1am, someone visited the room next door. There were only 5-6 rooms in use. Why they stacked us side by side is unclear, but these visitors pounding violently on the door. They obviously something large was soon dragged out (the furniture??) and loaded into the pick up right outside of our door. These people were not knocking loudly but were seriously pounding. They returned a short time later and were not quiet on their return. Then, for reasons that the owners can't be held responsible for, the power went out and remained out for the duration of our visit. We dont know if this was related but for several hours emergency vehicles with sirens blaring raced up and down the street while the mice were still munching and crunching and the temperature in the room steadily falling. Finally around 5 am we had had enough, the temperature in the room was far below comfortable, so I grabbed an emergency light from the car and we packed up and left. I really am a seasoned traveler, and primitive camper/back packer and have endured the full spectrum of lodging including other visits with critters present. Mice in general are not threatening, but their constant activities were beyond annoying. This place should be razed as one review said. I cant believe on recent poster thought the place had been recently renovated. I think they were mistaken as to where they actually stayed. This place is one of the worst. Keep moving down the road north or south. There are many other choices all of which range from acceptable to really nice.

Amazing!!

No Smoke detector or coffee

This place would be a great value, but I wouldn't have stayed here if I'd noticed there was no smoke detector. That isn't even legal. I'd have given it 4 stars otherwise. The only coffee was decaf and the condiments for it were salt and pepper, because it's not like you can make decaf worse. There was one partial roll of toilet paper for 4 people. The place does smell weird, but other than that I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The liquor store was closed when we got here, so it was pretty quiet. If you decide to stay, check to make sure you have a detector and that it works. That is serious business. Pros: -price -microwave and fridge -very comfortable beds -efficient check-in with reservation (my paperwork was waiting for me) -clean -recent DIY remodel -worn, but decent furniture Cons: -serious fire code violation -no coffee -stingy with TP and towels -strange chemical smell -a little out of the way -no breakfast or frills of any kind For the price, I would forego the niceties (not the smoke detector), but if you want something fancy with creamer and laundry bags, it's not for you.

NASTY!!!

This is the worst motel ever!!! I travel all of the time and have seen some bad ones but this takes the prize for being the worst. As soon as you drive up commodes are setting outside. And then when I cancelled my reservation because I refused to stay in this nasty place, they charged my credit card full price. I hope you enjoy that money you stole!

My job has had me traveling through the country for 14 years. This hotel was absolutely the worse experience I've ever had, in every possible way imaginable. I'm even considering hiring an attorney!!!!!! The building needs to be bulldozed. The management needs to leave this country!!!!!!
