This Red Roof Inn is very conveniently located for access to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the Pima Air and Space Museum. Their rooms are large, clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay and they have a 24 hour Denny's Restaurant on site.

First impression at check in was good - nice welcome at reception and given a choice of Rooms! Coffee in reception area very welcome, but shame no coffee machine in room. No breakfast but Dennys just round the corner so no problem. Room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. Stayed 2 nights and housekeeping changed towels etc - very good service. You get what you pay for in this life and in this case was good value.

Always remember that you get what you pay for. The desk staff were very friendly but housekeeping were very lazy. We stayed two nights in two rooms and both nights I had to go to the office to get towels. It’s supposedly a smoke free motel but there were people smoking outside our door constantly. They advertised a pool but they forgot to mention that it’s seasonal, or that it hasn’t been cleaned. The upside was my moms poodles were free.

After reading some of the "excellent" reviews I wondered if we stayed at the same place! Well, we did, and our experience was the polar opposite. The room floor was dirty and had black streaks on it. We didn't want to walk around barefoot because the floor just didn't feel clean. Also the bathroom door looked like something had taken a bite out of the bottom corner. Room accommodations were okay, with the exception that the toilet cancelled out on us at 8 pm. It was backed up and would not flush and honestly, we didn't put anything in it that wasn't supposed to be put in it (if you follow me.) We called the front desk and a young woman delivered a rather dirty plunger to us, advising that she would put in a work order the next day to get it fixed. I tried to get the thing to flush but it just would not, this after splashing myself several times as I tried to put as much pressure on the plunger as I could. Not a great experience. Fortunately the restaurant at Denny's which is attached to the motel had a working toilet. We were assured the problem would be fixed as we left to sight-see the next morning. We were told the manager would be in and he would attend to the problem. But when we got back later that evening, the toilet still did not flush. It looked like nothing had been done to fix it. The plunger was still there as I had left it. When I complained I was told there were no other rooms available. We were not happy at all. They comped us for one night which was the least they could do. I understand that mechanical things can break down. But I do believe that no one made any attempt to fix the problem, and that puts Red Roof at the bottom of my list for customer service. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Manager: Kevin Soukup, Jr. It is time for a new "Undercover Boss" episode. I cannot use the expletives necessary to describe this individual. He has the staff at each other’s throats. Office staff vs Cleaning Staff--Over & Over, back & forth. The first two rooms listed above were too filthy to be occupied. The lock on Rm#262 was installed UpSide Down and not as dirty, that’s where I am. All this occurred within the space of 90mins, early evening, on 12 Feb 2018. We were only one couple of several sets of guests being moved from room to room last night. Actually, I received this room from a guest who watched me in my “room trials”.
