Family gathering heart attack

I am from Jax Beach. Stayed at this hotel when it was Days Inn and many other times since. Never complained until now. My cousin and aunt had massive heart attacks and my husband and I needed a place to stay to visit. Always come to this hotel. Well...this time we were in for a treat. We needed a cheaper place because I have medical issues and can't afford major hotels. Our toilet stopped flushing mid evening. Big problem for me with medical problems. Called front desk and they said maintenance would be there. No one ever came to fix the problem so we were left without a toilet. Plus, I don't have a bath at my house. I was looking forward to kne in the hotel, but guess what? Drain stop didn't work. Sink backed up as well. Asked for an extra pillow and...nope! Called 1800 number and was guaranteed compensation. Nothing. Called back and received a discount on my first night stay.. Not even a whole night. Plus, they were rude and sent me this letter...which proves they don't give a crap. We are disappointed that the handling of your situation has not been to your satisfaction. Occasionally, we are unable to resolve a situation as a customer has requested. Great place!

I opted for the premium upgrades and it was well worth it! Very comfortable bed and air was ice cold great for sleeping. Eva at the front desk was awesome! The room was clean and I love the waffles for breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no fan in the bathroom. I stay here every time I visit my daughter.

Damp and Dirty

My husband and I just stayed here while visiting family because we have a small puppy and needed a place that accepted pets. I used Cancelon to book my room through Trip Advisor and they failed to send my reservation to the hotel. It took about 45 minutes from arriving at the hotel to finally get into our room. Our room had a huge puddle on the floor and we were able to get moved to another room. The entire hotel looks like it just went through a flood; everything is damp, wet, ceilings covered in mildew/mold, and walls are just sagging. We turned the AC down to cool our room off and we woke up to find the entire floor was soaking wet from hot air coming into the room from under the door. My husband used a towel to mop up the mess and the towel was BLACK with dirt. Everything was filthy. Outside the doors of the hotel were thousands of cigarette butts littering the sidewalks; I had to carry my puppy in and out so he wouldn't eat one of them. We ended up cutting our trip short and just going home because we didn't want to stay here another night even though we had paid for the room. Will never stay here again. This place should be torn down.

Needs a good cleaning

At least this Red Roof has potential. The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was how filthy the cover of the ironing board was. Then I noticed sticky the door on the inside side was... then I noticed how dirty the rug was.. but at least the bed was clean and so was the bathroom. Regardless I still brought in my goose down comforter. Also they had issues with WiFi which didn’t work and the next morning, they had no coffee!

Difficulty checking in and given wrong room

They could not find our reservation and we had to wait 15 minutes. After that the hotel felt bad for us and got us in a room. The online service was supposed to call us back once it was figured out and they never did. We were also given the wrong kind of room. The booking said there would be a fridge and microwave and there was not.
