Renovated and clean, but...

We booked the hotel via Traveling Teams several months ago for a softball tournament. Upon reading reviews we thought that this hotel would be a good option for our team, especially since a continental breakfast was offered. However, the problems began upon arrival. When we arrived it took around 45 minutes to complete the check-in process because they could not "find" a room for myself and my daughters. While standing with a fellow team parent at the check in desk trying to sort out room problems, it was stated that our team was receiving a discounted rate so we were not eligible for premium rooms (which is fine...our actual room was good). However our team's "discounted" rate was higher than the rate advertised online at our time of check in. It is obvious that the hotel has been recently renovated. The lobby and breakfst area and was clean. There were even areas in the breakfast room with USB charging ports. The hotel is also in a good location with many restaurants nearby. When we got to our room, the room itself was clean and updated. The housekeepers on the third floor were very friendly and did a very good job. They always checked to see if we needed anything. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of USB charging ports and a Roku TV. However, there wasn't a remote for the tv anywhere to be found in my room. It took 4 trips back to the front desk with a lengthy wait each time to find a remote to work the tv. There is a continental breakfast offered, but it wasn't stocked very well at all. My daughter tried to make pancakes a couple of times but the machine never worked properly. Sausage links and eggs were available. There were usually some mini-muffins and bread for toast. Usually there was yogurt offered and a waffle maker was available, although we did not use it. There was also cereal, if you could get milk. On our last morning there we were told that they didn't have any milk because it had gone bad, which seems like very poor planning when you have a hotel that is full of guests. We ended up just going to a local grocery store and purchasing breakfast items to eat during our stay. Luckily there was also a Starbucks across the road because the coffee offered from the coffee machine was terrible. The pool area and pool was nice, but there were dirty towels and clothes that laid on the pool deck furniture during our entire five day stay, including a dirty diaper lying in the corner of the pool deck. Many plastic cups were "fished" out of the pool during swimming. The hotel does offer free WiFi, but it is very weak. We were continuosly disconnecting and reconnecting to the WiFi. Finally, when we returned after a very hot afternoon on the ball field our key cards did not work. Apparently our reservation had been messed up and they had us checking out of our room a day early. When I received our final bill we were charged a $5 per day hotel fee in addition to our room rate. I'm not sure what this covered, but it definitely wasn't amenities. The customer service at the hotel, with the exception of the two housekeepers on the third floor, was not good at all. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

We checked into the Red Roof Plus for a softball tournament. The hotel itself has been remodeled and updated and is clean, but that is the only good thing I can say. The teams reservations were booked through traveling teams from July 9 to July 14. One family went down on Sat, but was unable to check in until Thursday due to supposedly not having their reservation(although you could plainly see the reservation on the computer screen). When the rest of the team arrived, some had a smooth check in while others were told they didn’t have any rooms available or all they had were “premium rooms”, but then magically they would “find” a room when the customer was upset. One of the parents was sent to a room at 12 am and when he entered, the room was a complete mess and had not been made up. Then he was told again they had no rooms, but then found a room. Again, the place was clean, so I decided to let some of these things ride and go on with our week. Then, after a game on Saturday we all came back and no one’s key worked. We took our keys to have them reprogrammed and then were all charged for an extra night. We had no idea they had us all checking out a day early and then they didn’t bother to tell anyone they were going to charge their cards for an extra night. Some of this I could have dealt with if they were apologetic and had good customer service, but instead they were VERY RUDE and really didn’t care they had messed up everyone’s reservations. The breakfast was horrible so we chose to buy breakfast somewhere every morning. The coffee was horrible. Our housekeeping lady on the third floor was great! She asked every time she saw us if we needed anything. The owner is very creepy and lurks around watching everyone as if he’s trying to catch you doing something. The pool was a nice area, but not ever cleaned. There was a dirty diaper, dirty clothes and towels that laid out there the entire time we were there. One of the kids with us got seven plastic cups out of the bottoms of the pool and one out of the filter. They obviously had not cleaned in a while. Our room was not bad, but one of the pipes leaked every night leaving water in the bathroom floor to clean up. Our tub also clogged up two times while we were there and would not drain. Some of the families with us woke up to the smell of pot each night. There are people who live at the Red Roof Inn and every night they would prop open the doors to the outside and smoke pot letting the smell come into the building. When this was reported, they just said to take the chair out of the door rather than doing anything about all the pot smoking. It is obvious they spent a lot of money updating things, but they need to learn customer service!! This place (other than the pool) was clean, but I will never stay there again!

Nancy and Henry were very friendly and helpful with driving directions. Room was very clean and quiet for our one night stay. If we were to visit this area again we would definitely book a room at this hotel again.

We have stayed at the property with my Family & two other couples...Henry maxe sure we are not away from Home...N guided us through all the attractions & best economical ways to get there including Citypass...He made sure we are always taken care even when he's not around...He is great human being & has excellent sense of Humour.We just lived it...Will definately be back next time...10 Stars

After arriving in Atlanta and finding myself and my friend and his son suddenly not having any rooms to stay in because we were screwed over by Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Perimeter Center and left hanging with no rooms . I will never stay at Hilton Garden ever again. So at 7pm I am on the phone at Hilton trying to find another hotel when I thought of Red Roof Inn. I ended up getting Red Roof Inn Plus . These folks were so nice and found us two rooms for our four night stay at a great price compared to some of the other places we called. This was an older Red Roof upgraded to a PLUS. The rooms were spacious with parkay floors , mini fridge and a coffee machine which was great for brewing my hot tea. They have a continental breakfast which is ok. The best part was they were only 3 miles from the Cobb Galleria Center where the Blade show was taking place, my reason for being in town. Another nice feature is across the street in the form of a little village with 8 or 9 restaurants . I had the best pizza ive had since being in New York City. There is a 5 Guys there too. I have to say the employees at the hotel were awsome. When I checked out I felt like i was forgetting something and sure enough I did but I didnt notice till I got home. I left a wooden display box in the room, dont know how I missed it but I did. Guess what? They didnt get rid of it and I was able to have my friend pick it up a week later on his way back to Florida. I stayed there June 5th to June 9th 2019 So my advise to you is give this hotel a try because im sure you will be pleased. I am making my reservations for next years Blade Show and will definately be staying here again.
