Our stay in Champaign, Illinois was sufficient for our needs. The room had most of what we needed except for a coffee maker, and a hair dryer. The room had a bit of a musty smell. Probably because the hotel seemed old. We would have no problem using this hotel for our next stay in Champaign, Illinois.

Mice & Dirty Towels & Smelly Rooms

We stayed 2 nights for the Audiofeed Festival. Had to change first room cause of dog smell and mildew. I kean awful smell. We Just checked out today 7/6/18. While getting ready, a mouse ran across my foot yesterday. It stayed in our room. They offered to have us move rooms (1 door down). The room when we got there had dirty wet towels. It had a dirty bathtub mirror and sink. I had to take thr towels to the front deak and go get clean towels and toilet paper. The smell was musty. Not well kept at all. I was refunded 1 night, since mouse showed up on 2nd day. Totally ruined our trip. I was a nervous wreck.I hate mice! We hauled all our band stuff in the hotel room and couldn't load and unload it all again in time so we had to stay in the room. Julie refunded part of our stay. There are outdoor Orkin mouse traps all over the property. However, I was given an Orkin glue trap to put in my room, see photo to catch the mouse!!! Beds were comfortable though. But they have a mouse infestation. I was told this. No joke. If you don't like mice, don't stay.

ROACHES/go to a MOTEL 6 or DAYS INN If you don’t want to read my review because it’s too long, just the title explains everything. You’ll thank me later. First off, I asked the hotel through if I could do a late checkout, the manager said ok and that she’ll leave a note as well. Upon checking in I asked if there was a note left for the late checkout and the receptionist said there wasn’t but as soon as I showed her the email she said “okay you’re checking out at 12nn.” Around 11 pm I noticed the refrigerator isn’t cool and so when my boyfriend looked at the back of the fridge, roaches came out of it. We then crushed them because we don’t want them crawling in our room. I didn’t call front desk anymore because I was too tired to move our stuff and thought I’d let it go cause we were just gonna stay one night. Fast forward to 10:58 am, the phone rang and the person on the other line was saying it’s time for checkout so then we told him we had a late checkout agreement with the front desk and the call ended. Around 10-15 minutes later (mind you, I was changing clothes) there was a knock on the door and even though we said “wait” the person didn’t wait for us to open it and still opened the door almost halfway. Good thing my boyfriend was able to stop them because they would’ve seen me naked then. He then told the person we have a late checkout(FOR THE 4TH TIME) and so we closed the door. Upon checking out, I told the receptionist that I want a full refund since I felt violated and disrespected that they came barging in our room even though they were informed three times before that that we are checking out at 12 noon. He said it was a miscommunication and he can give me a $20 refund. First of all, it is not my fault the front desk didn’t inform the housekeeping of the late checkout and second of all 20 is unacceptable. I’ve been through a million hotels and never was I treated this way. My boyfriend insisted if not a full refund at least give us a half off and he then did that. We also told him about the roaches but he didn’t believe us. I mean why would I lie about that? What would I get from it? I always leave honest reviews. Since he most probably won’t give us a full one because there’s no manager on site, I agreed to that but asked when the manager will be there. Next day, I came back and told the manager all about it and told me she would’ve done the same thing(you would think she has a better answer because she’s the manager, right?). She also agreed to the late checkout because she thought we were checking in very late but 7 pm isn’t even “that late” she said. 7 pm is still late since the checkin time is 3pm, that’s still 4 hours. Also she said I should’ve called front desk as soon as we saw the roaches. She told me they were gonna look at the video surveillance and look into the room if there really are roaches. Tuesday came and she called saying there was no evidence that the housekeeper barged in and he just knocked(DUH? Because we stopped him from entering??) the intention was there and the door still was half opened. Also they “didn’t see” any roaches(AGAIN, that’s because we already crushed 3.) so they’re gonna leave the refund as is. I’m just saying spend your money on a different inn/motel. You’ll thank me later.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Was a bit skeptical with some of the reviews but glad I decided to stay. The room was nice and cool,beds very comfortable, clean and affordable. Front desk were outstanding! I will be back!

Ants taking over

This is the most filthy place I have ever stayed in! We reserved two side by side rooms. Clearly this place hasn’t been cleaned between guest nor has it ever been exterminated! I informed management and they felt since they only saw a few ants in our room that should be ok. Ants and filth are not acceptable to me and my family for any length of time. As I complained at the front desk— my son and I noticed more ants taking over the lobby! Nasty. Stay at your own risk!
