I am not one to complain but I have decided to write this review to warn people about this place. The front dest staff are non the less the rudest front desk staff I have ever met in any hotel and in any Red Roof inn. So we arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 at night after driving for 11-12 hours straight, We decided to stop at this RRI location and had my Parents book and pay a hotel room for me,my boyfriend and my dog since we we’re driving cross country. Upon arriving at the hotel,we were just welcomed with such laziness,such rude behaviors, I tried checking in and the front desk lady said “the reservation is under your name but not your credit card,it has already been paid but you are not allowed to go in your room not unless i can prove that this is your credit card”. I totally understand that she was just trying to make sure it wasn’t anything fraudulent,but how she said it was just unacceptable,there were other people right next to me just looking at us while she was unacceptably rude. She was with another front desk guy that was repeatedly just saying that my boyfriend and i should just leave and get a hotel room somewhere else, they made my dad email them an authorization copy at 12:30 am when the room was already paid for. What i really don’t understand is why she didn’t let us in when the name on the reservation was under my name, the room was already PAID for and not just reserved.i have stayed in a lot of RRI and this by far is the worst ever experience I’ve ever had. Telling your clients or customers to go and look for a hotel at 12:30 am,driving them away instead of being helpful and instead of helping them to find ways to make things easier for them.IT IS YOUR JOB TO HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS,if you are unhappy with your front desk job then i suggest you quit and find something that would make you happy. After having my dad email them back, they let us in our room. I had to stay another night in Chicago because I didn’t have enough time to rest, they let us in at about 1:30 am and we checked out at 11. When we checked out it was a different front desk personnel named EDUARDO (who was the only one that was helpful) he gave us a 15% coupon since that was the only thing he could do for us after hearing the bad experience that we had, i talked to him about what happened and he was extremely sorry and even checked and said “once the room is paid for,regardless if it’s your card that was used or not,you have every right to get your room” he checked my reservation and he told me that the incident shouldn’t have happened because my room was pre paid- it was paid long before we got there. I am not happy with what I have experienced and I don’t recommend anyone staying here.

This place is Dirty,Zero privacy...Front desk is dismissive and rude.... There are a million other hotels in the area this one needs to be avoided like the plague .... one issue after another, continue to go to the front desk only to be brushed off.... it was like talking to a Stepford Wife with no facial expression.. There is no privacy to this hotel because there's 8000 cameras everywhere looking at every move you make which is ridiculous ...Privacy and protection is one thing this is overkill it felt creepy. Convenient location in a clean safe area. The room appears to be newly refurbished with laminate wood floors (yea, no yucky carpet). Front desk was friendly & helpful. No breakfast (had coffee) but not a big deal for us. Panera is just down the street if you need a meal. We had a 2nd floor I-94 side room, but noise was minimal and not an issue.

Long or Short Term Stay Recommendation

I have stayed here on an on & off again basis over the past 3 months. My primary criteria is price (including free parking and solid WiFi & cable); convenient location...from restaurants & grocery stores to expressways. I really appreciate and expect cleanliness of the rooms and facilities; amenities such as a microwave, refrigerator, WiFi/cable, & Laundry. Plus, I appreciate being able to reserve a smoking room that doesn't reek or permeates non-smoking rooms. The cleaning staff is friendly & incredible. The sheets may not be 1000 thread count but they are crisp and clean. They actually clean ashtrays (typically unheard of) and make the laminate wood floors and bathrooms sparkle. For me, not having carpeting is a plus, much cleaner overall and helps keep my allergies under control. Bottomline, this Red Roof Inn operates as well as it does because of Miriam Leon, the General Manager. She knows how to hire the best people, train them and supervise. It can be a really difficult position to be in but she does it so well it all runs seamlessly. That is true Customer Service and what I appreciate and respect!

First time at the hotel, grew up in Deerfield since age ten, great stay at this establishment. As far as I know, I checked out at the appropriate time I paid for, and I even checked out with the manager, on par. Since it was so seamless, and being I love Deerfield, decided to stay another night. I was told I'm on a Do Not Come Back List. Oh, because of "blood on a towel". That's actually quite disturbing to even allow my ears to hear this come out of the Front Desk's mouth, two of these men, upon arriving at sunset. Legal?
