We booked a last minute room here the night before we flew out of New Orleans and got a really good deal. For the price we weren't expecting much but the staff was very friendly and the accommodations were very clean. Even the bed was surprisingly comfortable! Me and a friend just booked another room here before an early morning flight next month!

I stayed at this hotel several time and the rooms are always clean and the staff is very friendly. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Dawn and she was very friendly and efficient and made me feel at home. As I proceeded toward my room I was met by Miss Mary and Greg, they welcome me back, Miss Mary prepares a full breakfast each morning and Greg handles any problem the may arrive. Cheema, Manabil and Nimesh offer the same friendly service and they make me feel at home.

used this facility for parking while flying out of New Orleans airport. Was told parking shuttle ran from 5 am to 11 pm Every hour on the hour. We called for a shuttle pickup at 10:45 pm and was told they could not pick us up because the shuttle time stopped at 11:00 pm. The airport is 5 minutes away from hotel.

I want to start off by saying, I am not one to complain about how a service went, always look for the good in situations, but this experience added up one by one and I do feel the need that others should know how this hotel is like before booking. The first shocking and unprofessional act was the complimentary water bottle they give you if you are a member. The 2 gentleman went to look in their offices and couldn't find any, they ended up giving me the luke warm bottle that was in the display case for who knows how long, they even giggled in embarrassment of giving that to me. When we got to the rooms it smelled extremely horrible, a very strong and penetrating smell, a garlic oriented scent. Was told that the rooms simply smell like that, by reading other reviews on here I have seen the smell of the rooms being said a few times. My family then sees the pillows, each one half the size of a regular pillow, seemed as if they used sofa pillows instead, when I went to the front to ask for extra pillows they didn't even have 1 extra pillow to provide. Later on we got ready to try out this "gym" they state they have, only reason we stayed in this hotel was because of the gym anyways. We pass the keycard, open the door and we see a room even smaller than where we are sleeping in. We see 3 machines and were in complete shock, we brushed it off and said lets just try to make the most out of these 3 machines. We tried the sitting machine to cycle on, it was impossible to do a full cycle, it was as stiff as can be, checked to see if the level was too high, it was at the lowest possible. We tried the standing up cycling machine, it was very unstable, it felt as if they just built it and in about 1 minute and didn't tighten everything up. My dad almost fell from it attempting to get on. Lastly, the last machine in the "gym", a treadmill, how could a treadmill go wrong I asked myself, but for the luck I was having at this hotel I just knew something would be up. The machine started, it was all going good, up until I noticed the machine would have this slight jump, it would rotate and you would be walking normally and then a sudden *BUMP*, it would stop for a second and keep rotating, the motion wasn't continuous like a normal working treadmill. We didn't mention anything to the 2 young kids at the front desk since we already saw how they "fix" things based off a silly water bottle and a simple pillow. When checking out and ready to pay we then see additional unnecessary fees including "State tax, county tax, city tax, airport fee and tourism assessment"... we drove to this hotel, didn't used a plane nor the airport and still was charged for something we didn't even use? When I asked the 2 young people in the front to explain each charge they couldn't told me to call the manager later since we were leaving the hotel around 7am.... I have called for a total of 2 weeks to this hotel and Red Roof 1800 number, been back and forth with them explaining the situation, they had an excuse for everything I told them. Yesterday it ended on the owner of the hotel telling a manager to tell me that the most he can do is offer me a slight discount next time we stay there, I told them that I live in Central Florida and won't be going to Louisiana again, if that "slight discount" he was willing to give can be the partial refund he provides to us and they said no....... It was overall an unprofessional and distasteful experience overall, extremely disappointed in Red Roof for allowing things like this to occur.

Arrived into New Orleans Airport and called the hotel from baggage claim. Instructed to walk across street and go behind the TRANSPORTATION CENTER. This is where all the hotel shuttles pickup. This is also where you can find the pickup for UBER and LYFT. Hotel shuttle leaves the hotel every hour on the hour. The van is grey in color and has red letter RED ROOF INN logo on the door panel. Transfer time to the hotel is about 5 minutes. Check-in was quick and easy. Left large bag at front desk so I didn't have to lug it upstairs. Was in room 401. Room was OK, but nothing more. Carpets and walls in the hall needed attention. Room did have coffee with a microwave. Breakfast was nothing outstanding. Continental Plus breakfast. They served grits and sausage and oddly enough only had boiled eggs, not scrambled or fried. Eggs were in a pan of hot water and I thought they were soft boiled but they turned out to be 'extremely' hard boiled. Hard boiled to the point of petrified. Couldn't eat one. They did offer juice, coffee, cold cereal, yogurt, a few bananas, bread. Filling but pretty generic.
