We cancelled immediately, willing to lose the money

Not a good experience. We took a chance trying to save a little money. Arrived at the hotel and noticed the lysol/chlorine smell in the lobby. The clerk was very friendly and admitted she was brand new at her job. Check in took almost 20 minutes due to computer problems. The odor was even stronger in the halls and in the room. The room was dingy and the bed squeaky and uncomfortable. After 5 minutes, we made the decision to bail. We asked to cancel at the desk. She readily agreed with a smile. However, she could not get the computer to agree and after 20 more uncomfortable minutes we left, leaving our phone number. She promised to call once the cancellation had processed. We didn't get a call. I'm working on the refund, but even if we lose the money, it would have been worth not spending the night there.

I checked in an the owners were there; they saw my heart sink because the pool was closed “for the season” I explained that I only stayed there to take my granddaughter swimming:( they laughed it off. It was a late check in so I stayed the night. I turned the heat on and only cold air blew.. let it go for 10 mins but still cold. Pulled both blankets off bed and curled up just to sleep and the sheets smelled like perfume! How could these have been washed?? I went down first thing in morning with my room key and explained my situation and they showed me no concern and just repeatedly said Expedia. Well of course Expedia gave me my money that doesn’t make this place reputable or those people polite:( worst experience ever!

Tried to make a reservation and get a price matching one gotten about an hour earlier by one of our group. When I called the direct number it wasn't answered. Going through the 800 number I was transferred to the hotel, spoke with someone who eventually identified herself as the manager, who refused to even consider the $8 price reduction, (there were at least 3 more of us who would be staying there, and I told her this) and then, when I asked for her last name, Alecia hung up on me. To add insult to injury, when I posted my complaint to the website, the response was a 15% discount, exactly what I had been asking for. Needless to say, we are all staying elsewhere in the area.

Need to renovate

This was a last minute trip for me and my husband we stay at Red Roofs Inn alot we both are Redicard members. I'm not sure what the room number was but the reservation was under Antonio Dean. the location is good, but the hotel need to be upgraded badly, the mattress is very uncomfortable we both work up with back pains, the room door has a big gap at the botttom of the door, the desk chair had a big ripe not good to set in the mini fridge made noise all night. We plan on coming back to California MD and we hope to stay here again only if it has been upgraded. I will add pictures later.

no towels for 2 days of a 3 day stay. bathroom never cleaned. sheets torn.floor dirty. electrical outlets pushed in. i asked to see manager 3 times and she was never there. called her on the phone and she hung up after i told her i reported it to red roof customer relations.. i am forced to give it one star. it should get none.
