I previously stayed here when it was Comfort Inn. It seems to have gone downhill a bit. I should also note that this time, I was traveling with my young daughter, so I was hyper aware of the cleanliness of everything she was touching. The gentleman checking me in was friendly and did his best to be quick, even though there were several people waiting and he was the only person at the front desk. The room was old, and felt fairly clean, but not super clean. I took my daughter to the pool area, and was not impressed with the cleanliness there either. There was more dirt build up at the bottom on the pool, mildew, and scum than I would expect to see. I did not get a great night's sleep, the walls were thin and I could hear pets, people, and showers/toilets quite clearly. The breakfast was below average. The waffles were not great, and there were not a lot of other options. Coffee was good though! Another thing that should be noted is that there are no elevators. I would have requested a room on the first floor, but the lady checking in before me requested one and was told by the gentleman at the front desk that they were almost full on the first floor. Even though a first floor room would have been easier for me traveling solo with my young daughter, I opted not to ask for one in case others with more significant needs came along later. It was a bit of an adventure getting her and all of our stuff down the stairs when we left, but we survived. We come to town annually for a family reunion and while it was definitely not the worst place I've stayed, I think I will opt to pay more to stay at another place in town next year.

Went for college event

I have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before and was excited to stay. When we got there, the staff was friendly and courteous. When we got into the room, I noticed the certain things were outdated such as the telephone and shower. Also, the air conditioner didn't work very good so it made for a long night. The breakfast was ok but the biscuits were hard and cold. I was glad to get a room for the event but I was not as impressed as I though I would be.

Went home for my father's birthday. This is the second time we have stayed there under the Red Roof name have stayed several times under Comfort Inn. The room was very clean except it smelled of cigarette smoke when we walked in. There was mildew around all the shower fixtures. I've had spit baths with better water pressure. When I made our reservation I wasn't informed the pool was out of service. It looked scummy. I guess it won't be fixed? The pool is gross and the breakfast is served in the same room that being said the breakfast was hot and good. The bed was very comfortable clean with good pillows. The staff was very nice and helpful. Unless I can't get into the Holiday Inn Express I won't be back

The family stayed here over the weekend, a little dated but extremely affordable, accommodating and pets stay at no extra charge. We had large group, and needed an early check in, with a late checkout, the staff was more than helpful with our needs. I can’t say enough nice things about the employees however the heated pool was freezing, and the carpets need a thorough cleaning, with pets you expect a little less spotless but the carpets smell. Overall a nice place to stay while traveling with your four legged family member.
