Poor Customer Service

We checked in at 2:30am. Shortly after arriving into our room, the toilet started overflowing, and wouldn't stop. Toilet water everywhere. Andre at the front desk, and said they've had problems with that toilet before, and said we could return to the front desk to be reassigned another room. We packed up, and walked back to the front desk, and were given a new room. Andre offered no apology, no discount, poor customer service. In the meantime, our family members had been given a second room near to us. Shortly after arriving into their room, they saw a barrage of bugs on towels and linens! They too, called the front desk, and got the same treatment. We slept 4 hours, and left the room about 8:30am to see our dying family member at Nathan Adelson Hospice – the reason for our last minute trip to Vegas. We spent the entire day and night at hospice. Around 2:30am the next morning, we left hospice and returned to the Red Roof Inn. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full, and we had no place to park. All spaces were taken, and one white Mustang was parked in two parking spots. I parked in front of the lobby, and went into the lobby. Andre looked at me, and ignored me. I explained to Andre that we needed a place to park our car, and that 1 car was parked in two spaces. I also explained to him the reason for our trip and that my family was physically and emotionally exhausted. He said there was nothing he could do. The security guard came over to me and said I could park my car between 2 handicapped spaces. We walked upstairs to our room, and found it had not been cleaned. Beds unmade, no clean towels, no shampoo or soap. (Remember, we were gone all day and night) I called the front desk, and got Andre. He asked if we had left a "do not disturb" sign on our door. I answered, "No, we were gone all day." Andre said that the only reason housekeeping wouldn't have cleaned our room, would be if we had placed the "do not disturb" sign on the door. I couldn't believe Andre chose to question me, doubt me, and argue with me, instead of offering a solution. He said that if I wanted to complain, I could call the Manager after 9:00am. I asked him if he could send clean towels to our room. Around 3:30am, the security guard brought us a handful of towels, and apologized for our inconvenience. Our family member passed away that afternoon, and we returned home. I emailed our experience to the Red Roof Inn Hotel Manager. It’s been 10 days since that email, and I’ve received no reply.

Close parking, no resort fee, nice room.

Stayed on a Friday night to avoid weekend rates at other hotels. Moved to larger facility on Monday when rates went down. Experienced long walk from parking garage, added in resort fee and long check in line. Room at the Red Roof was very nice. Wood floors (no yucky rug), sink, microwave and refrigerator. Close in parking taking luggage to room and no check in line. Walk to the strip or take a cab/Uber and spend your money there. Will stay here again.

Motel not hotel

Overpriced Motel in Vegas . Reception staff were not over friendly. The room was an average size with a small kitchen area .Comfy bed on a whole very basic budget motel. Lots of free parking on site and about 20 minute walk to Vegas Strip.

Family Trip to Vegas

We stayed 9 nights in this motel when arriving from the UK. There were 6 of us in our party and had 3 rooms. Check in was fine - had a choice of rooms and Luisa on reception was very helpful in finding the rooms we wanted. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The air con was really good - too good sometimes! There was a fridge and a tiny kitchen ( though we didn't cook) and a dressing room with hairdryer - everything we needed. It is about a 20 minute walk to the strip if you are fit like we are but we also used Uber a lot which was very reasonable. Plenty of parking for our hire car though. Breakfast is basic and we were horrified at the amount of plastic used which is just thrown away. We didn't eat there very often but used the free coffee and water in reception available 24 hours. The pool was empty most of the time - it's lovely and clean and refreshing. The staff also were great - especially the security guy Milton who found my son's passport which he'd dropped outside the car! Unfortunately I had to call security one evening as a couple of family's of Mexicans moved in next door and proceeded to have a barbecue in the car park at midnight! One man was shouting and kids were running around to the early hours. Security came straight away and told them - they were quiet for a while but then began shouting and playing music again. I had to call security 3 further times until they eventually stopped - just a few more doors slamming and car alarms and all was peaceful. Can't fault the hotel for the response though and thankfully that was the only time during our stay. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard - all you can ask for really. We stayed in 3 other hotels on our trip (including the Stratosphere), we also stayed in the Grand Canyon and Page Arizona. I can honestly say this was my favourite. I would definitely recommend the Red Roof Inn.

A Reasonable Respite from the Busy Strip.

Pros: Reasonably Priced Clean Quiet Free Abundant Parking Complimentary Breakfast Short Ride or 15 minute walk from the strip A few food options within walking distance plus a cvs Very clean and inviting pool with some shade Cons: Bland experience/service Pool is relatively small May be too far from the strip for some not willing to walk or uber This was the first in a long series of hotels I stayed at with my wife across the country during a summer road trip from SoCal to New York. I had only stayed at one other hotel before this, so I had nothing to base my first impression of this hotel on. At first it seemed like a cheap hotel that had little to offer aside from a place to sleep, but after our trip concluded, this ended up being one of the better hotels overall. We checked in after a long drive from San Diego in traffic and high heat. Although the reception was rather lackluster, I was pleased to find abundant parking near our room as well as a perfectly functioning air conditioner inside that cooled us off so quickly we nearly forgot about the fact that we were just stuck in a hot car for over six hours. The air conditioner worked, it didn't have a funky smell, the room wasn't stuffy to begin with, and the nearly impeccable bathroom invited us into a very welcome cold shower to wash away the grime of the day. Soon after, we were refreshed and ready to sight-see throughout the Las Vegas strip. Although we initially walked the 1.2ish mile to the strip and were not tired at the end of it, after a long night of walking up and down and in and out of casinos we had to surrender ourselves to a quick uber ride back to the hotel. Because of the short distance however, it was both inexpensive and quick. Entering our quiet and cool hotel room was a much appreciated end to our busy night in Las Vegas. Lastly, I did not notice any excessively loud noise, whether from outside the hotel or from adjacent rooms, it was a calm and peaceful night. The breakfast was rather bland, but free breakfast and easy carbs before another long drive towards the Rockies was better than no breakfast. Although we did not use the pool, it looked extremely inviting, especially in the dry summer heat. It did look as clean and shaded as it does in the photos. Overall, the experience was quite enjoyable, our room was free of weird smells, the water was clean and refreshing, the bed was more than comfortable, and all the appliances worked without a hitch. Not many hotels can get even those simple things correct. Service was adequate, though a little bland.
