Good hotel, excellent place, but they can improve.
January 30, 2020

First, our arrival at the hotel was quite comfortable and easy. But as soon as we entered the room, we were disappointed. The room was extremely small for us. Room 101 has a problem, absolutely everything that happens in the lobby is heard. The bed where I slept the head was broken, the hair dryer didn't work, I hope they didn't charge it to me. The price of the night should adjust it, is somewhat excessive. Now, apart from the bad of the hotel, the good must be highlighted. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily and ours beds were fixed daily. I must applaud that. The hotel is quite central to the different tourist areas. The employees were very attentive and cordial. In itself we had a good time I can recommend the hotel if the person who is staying will not be in the room all the time. But I do recommend the hotel management to improve the things I just wrote.

Over charged and wrong room
January 12, 2020

Stayed in Dec for a week, on arrival we were given the wrong room , smaller than what we booked. Asked at reception and were told “call booking.com and take it up with them” The room was quite small , but it was okay as we were not going to be spending time in it. Not once was the room cleaned, or bed dressed or changed. Had to ask every day for clean towels and to have bin emptied. On check out I was over charged by $500 ! As we had plenty of time I was able to hang around until it was sorted , but I wasn’t able to get a receipt for the charge, this could only be emailed to me for some reason , strange ! When we booked we were told it included all charges, on check in we were asked for another security deposit, it’s either final price or not surly ! On the good side, excellent location , if you just want a basic room , it’s a good choice. But if we stayed again I’d ask for confirmation of charge on arrival.

Lord The cement floor was stylish Bed comfortable View great VERY small rooms. Bathroom door and room door kept banging into each other. Coffee in the lobby in the morning. But only coffee. No pastry. Dirty stained pillow cases AC didn’t work Room phone didn’t work One ice machine in the basement for the entire hotel and we were on the 19th floor

This is simply the WORST place which we have ever stayed in. The rooms are dirty and simply to small to accommodate the amount of guests they book. Rooms do not have any wardrobe space and you will have to live out of a suitcase for your entire stay. Our room was not cleaned probably once for our entire stay. The beds were left unmade and additional blankets which we required were just piled and chucked on the bed, dust and hair everywhere. Additional blankets were required as the room did not have carpet and the heating does not work in the room. The images on Booking.com and other travel sites are showing false images, the hotel rooms are not like shown. The hotel responds to the reviews on Trip Advisor that they will be taking action to similar problems to ours, however it appears the same problems are still occurring. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!

Cute, Comfy & Courtesy Staff

Lord & Morris hotel is right in the thick of where you would want to be for New Year’s Eve. We found a great deal for the most expensive night to stay in NYC. The staff was super accommodating at check in when my husband wasn’t feeling well and some of the streets were already shut down for the holiday. Lord & Morris has a boutique feel with a better vibe than the clinical chain hotels. Space is always a premium in New York City and I love the way the interior of the room made great use of space. They had all the must haves and even a fridge. The bed and pillow were super comfy when we finally made our way back in the city that doesn’t sleep. Check out was a breeze as the maids were very nice about giving us a little extra time to get ourselves together to travel home. We would definitely stay there again.
