Absolutely terrible!!

We stayed for one night in this terrible hotel! There was nothing to like! Smoke free is a joke! The halls all smelled of marijuana. Our room had a very strong odor of men’s cologne. We complained and were blown off. The yogurts at their breakfast were all expired and when we told the front desk they basically shrugged their shoulders at us. There were men sitting on a bench outside the front door and I swear they were selling drugs from their actions. We got to experience people screaming at the front desk clerk because their reservations had been canceled. I spoke to management and the corporate office and they totally blew me off and after repeated calls, I was told that they basically didn’t care and would do nothing for me to make up for the terrible experience! Never again!!

Ugh.

Our punsihment for procrastinating a hotel booking was being left with the only vacancy for miles. On the positive side we were warmly greeted, the receptionist was polite, there is ample parking and many places nearby to eat or tank up the gas tank, and there was no glitch with the reservation. When we arrived we noticed disparate people in the lobby and outside who appeared to be extended stay guests and a little down on their luck if appearances are a measure. For example, one woman standing outside smoking was wearing slippers and appeared to be talking to herself - or listening to someone who, well, was not present. Our room had a very powerful, antiseptic smell - not a strong, clean, pleasant "used too much cleaner" but more of a "ugh, what is that smell!?" The bed linens and towels were clean but the antiseptic smell compelled us to put our luggage on the table. Worst yet, the floor is only half carpeted, near the beds, and our room was on the first floor and the guest above us paced the floor literally all night. I pictured a person with one wooden leg and one heavy boot, ruminating over their life of lonely desperation and feared complaining, pacing to and fro. The place was so creepy I worried that if we complained the guest above us would come down to the parking lot and peek in our window. I barely slept due to the all night walker above and the creepy feel of the place. Moral of the story: plan ahead and don't procrastinate.

Not A Safe Hotel

We stayed there three years ago with a pet and it was ok. The place has really gone down hill. Management has not taken care of the place! Carpet is DISGUSTING! There was a LARGE leak in the ceiling that was wet with mold. Very seedy people hanging around in and out of the hotel. Parties in the parking lot. We read there were police called because there was drug dealing out of the hotel and a big drug bust. A huge fight between two girls right outside our hotel room in the hall that went on for at least thirty minutes. It took two phone calls to the front desk for them to handle it. No way should children’s anyone be walking in the halls with that going on. Lots a hostile people yelling. We will never go back. Just came back because of a pet. DON’T BRING A FAMILY WITH KIDS! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!

Decent stay for price

This hotel will absolutely work if you are looking for a comfortable budget-friendly hotel stay. We made the mistake of booking two days after finding a price we were happy with (three days before our stay) and the price had gone up $40 so I definitely recommend booking once you find the price you're good with because it can change. The room was clean and seemed updated. Not amazing amenities, but we weren't expecting much since it wasn't that kind of trip for us. Bathroom was really nice but the sink was a little high so could be difficult for children (i'm 4'10" and it was slightly uncomfortable for me). Also my fiance took a long shower before I did and there was not much hot water available by time I got in. Overall the hotel itself met all expectations. The only negative that could be considered was the other clientele...but that's hardly something the hotel has control over. We just made sure to park closer to the hampton inn parking than the lot in the back and ignored the odorous activities going on nearby.
