Absolutely horrendous! Stay away!!!!

July 16, 2018

I do not usually give strongly negative reviews but this one is necessary. I reserved a room for my dog and me requesting a first floor room because my arm was in a splint after surgery from my fingers to my shoulder. Nevertheless, I was put on the second floor. The room was absolutely filthy with grimy dirt on the baseboards and mold around the tub. The air conditioner did not work and the room was 85 to 90 degrees all night. I was completely unable to sleep. My dog was so overheated he threw up. I went to the front desk the next morning and asked to speak to the manager. I was told he would not be in until Monday. I told him about the condition of the room, showed him the pictures, and told him I would need a later checkout than 12:00 Noon since I had gotten no sleep and had a three hour drive. I explained that my son was coming by at 1:00 PM and would be able to help me load my car. I was offered a small discount and assurance that the manager would call me on Monday. I went back to my room to begin packing and taking supplies to my car. At noon, my key would no longer work, my dog was in the room alone, and I was locked out. I asked a maid to let me in and explained I had asked for a late checkout.A half hour later a maintenance man knocked on the door and asked if I was staying another night. I explained again that I had asked for a late checkout. He left. At 12:45 PM, the front desk called and said they would give me until 1:00 PM to be out of the room. I explained again that my son would be able to help me load my car at 1:00 PM. The desk clerk said I must be out of the room by 1:00 PM. I told him I would be out by 1:00 PM and I would guarantee that I would never stay at Red Roof Inn again. I managed to finish loading my car even though I couldn’t leave the door open because of my dog and couldn’t close it because I had no key. I wedged the door mostly closed between trips. Due to my splinted arm and the need to hurry, I dropped my laptop and my suitcase down the stairs. I twisted my shoulder trying to catch myself from falling. I finally got myself and my dog in the car. It was over 100 degrees outside at that point and I was deathly sick. I pulled under the shade of a tree with the air conditioning on and waited for my son. When he arrived, I told him what had happened. He was very upset and asked me why I booked a room in such a dump. I couldn’t disagree. On Monday, I got an apology email from the manager, but no effort was made to call me or remedy the situation. I have two calls into the corporate offices, but so far there have been no return calls. I encourage everyone to stay away from the Blue Ash Red Roof Inn and perhaps all Red Roof Inns. No one deserves to be treated so horribly!

Lousy service

This place is over priced for what they have to offer. No blow dryers n room and police going thru the parking lot. Needed some ice, was told it’s in the office. Of course, machine isn’t working. I was told to go to the gas station across the street. Really? For 60+$ you’d think you could get a cup of ice.

Very helpful staff.

The location, price and staff were great.T. I was in town for business and needed an affordable and nice place to stay. This property exceeded my expectations in terms of cost and location. I will be traveling through this area several times a year and I will make it a point to stay here and i will tell my company and coworkers to stay here as well. A truly great experience.

Very disappointed

I have stayed here a few times and everything was ok except for the heat being a little warm. I have to say that I am very disappointed this time. I know $50 isn't a lot of money, but I expect better than this. The glaze in the tub is chipped badly. The blanket is really scratchy and uncomfortable. The bed cover has cigarette burns all over it. The bed is a bunch of rock hard springs. It is 12:15,and I have been trying to sleep for almost three hours. I am exhausted and in agony. I could live with the cosmetic stuff, but I need to sleep. I am ready to go sleep in my car, it is that bad. You lost me as a customer.
