Bedbugs/bugs/horrific smell/

In town for best friend weddings. Checked in instantly opening the door it was a disgusting smell. I had some air freshener so I sprayed. I turned on the television it wouldnt change channels. I picked up the phone to call the front desk, the phone wasn't working. I walked down to the front desk and told the clerk. She came to my room and fixed the tv. She kneeled down to fix the phone and she pulled out trash from the floor. Her response was"housekeeping hasnt been doing a good job of cleaning." I went to bed that evening and around 2:30 that morning I was awaken with bites all on my face and arms. I immediately went to the front desk and told the clerk. Her response was, I feel like quitting. She wasn't surprised at all. I demanded a full refund. She stated that she can give me another room. I told her absolutely not. I wanted a full refund. I am yet to here from the manager. PEOPLE PLEASE BEAWARE. This place need to be shut down until it is up to standards. The only good thing about this place is the front desk clerk If I could give it a zero star. I would. But it wont let me submit my review

One of the Worst Hotels in Ohio

Had the unfortunate experience of staying here, and it was the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in in my life. Here’s why: CONS: - The sheets were wrinkled and full of black ‘things’ - The tub was plugged and filled to the ankles when showering - I felt itchy sleeping in the disgusting bed - The floor was filthy and needed to be swept and mopped - I slept in my clothes, which I then threw out - The toilets are really really small, like for school children - The bathroom sink faucet leaked like crazy - There was a constant beam of light coming through the sides of the front door all night. - The couch had white ‘stains’ on it. Tried flipping it but the other side was worse - Cigarette burns in pretty much everything: sheets, couch, etc - Changing channels on the tv took 10 seconds to go from channel to channel, and lots didn’t work - You can clearly bear people talking in adjacent room - The pool was dirty and gross - And last, the boiled eggs at the breakfast. OMG those eggs. They looked disgusting like they’d been there for months. The entire breakfast was vile. PROS - None at all! Stay anywhere, anywhere else. Even a homeless shelter is better than this place.

The only place that I have stayed where I checked under the mattress for bed bugs...

The only positive thing that I can say about this place is the the staff at the front desk were very pleasant. I have NEVER been so grossed out in my life! First of all, you could tell that this place was cheap because the little paper folders they put your room keys in were obviously pulled from the trash and reused (see photo). They were badly worn and had layers of white-out on them. You could see the prior room numbers through the white-out. Secondly, the bedding on one of the beds was badly stained and had a cigarette burn right through it (see photo). I don't even want to know what the stains were. Thirdly, the bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time (sorry, no photo. I don't take my phone into any bathroom). The holder on the toilet paper holder was broken...oh joy (that was reported to the front desk staff but no maintenance was on staff to replace it). Lastly and perhaps most disturbing was the ice machine. The area where the ice bucket is supposed to sit and the surround area on the exterior of the machine was caked in BLACK MOLD!!! This could not be missed! This alone is a serious health issue. I will never again stay at a Red Roof Inn. Sure this hotel is inexpensive but clearly you get what you pay for.

Pet friendly nothing more

We made reservations from the road at a 'dog friendly' hotel and arrived after travelling 800+ miles from Maine. In the lobby was an empty water dispenser which could not be filled until the next day when maintenance arrived. Though friendly, the front desk did not readily offer a bottle of water until asked for one. We were given room 231 midway down the hall on the second floor. Inconvenient for a traveler with 2 dogs but we were told that there was a dog show going on. Opened the door to a musty smelling room which looked out to the Lowes parking lot. Bathroom sink to the left of the entry door and bathroom next to that with toilet Seat was broken and partially melted) and tub. Very basic. Floor was 2/3 linoleum and 1/3 carpet. Beds were one of the worst I've slept on - lumpy and worn. Pillows stiff and not fresh. Sheets had pen stains on the side. At 6 am the next morning one of our 'neighbors' left their pet unaccompanied in their room. It barked until we left at 7:30 am. I do not own a pet and have not had to stay at a 'pet friendly' establishment. If this is the standard accommodation being offered to them, I believe I will not travel with pets again. A sign in the room says you will be charged $250 for smoking in the room. What about leaving a barking dog?

Not too bad...

Stayed while visiting family in the area. Check in process was problematic but eventually resolved after about 20 minutes. Room was clean. Beds were very small. Bathroom was extremely small and not very functional.
