Housekeepers Must Be Lazy
review-img-alt
October 15, 2018

The FIRST room we were given had curlies on the toilet seat with very visible dirt. ICK. The second room we were in also had hairs in the bathroom, but it was late and cold and rainy and I didn't feel like trekking down to the office again, so I just wiped off the toilet seat with wipies I carry in my travel supplies. Floors were not swept. My mother said she can still smell the last person's "hair oils" on the pillow case and covered it with her jacket to sleep. Her bed was also extremely squeaky with every move, and part of the base was ripped up and scratched her leg. The room LOOKED clean enough, and the smell was tolerable; at least it was smoke free. I've stayed at this location before without incident so I don't know if this is because of lazy housekeepers or due to new ownership/management? They also used to serve a pretty good breakfast but don't do that anymore, and the lobby has been under construction for at least a year now (I travel this way frequently). I won't be staying here in the future, sad to see this place go downhill like it did.

Not Worth Staying There At Any Price

Old musty smelling room infested with flies, phone didn't work, and the lamp next to the bed kept going on and off in the 15 minutes I was there like it had a short. The only reason I gave a rating of 2 instead of 1 is that the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is right amongst the crazy construction along I-40 but that is about the only complaint from us. Tawny that works overnights is friendly as can be, very helpful and knowledgeable as well. Eager to help us with all our pesky questions. Even gave us bottled water of hers personally so we didnt have to make a trip to the store and get in the construction mess again>

Not breakfast?

I arrived around 5 on Tuesday July 31. I asked politely for my reservation and the angry lady behind the desk asked me screaming twice. First for my name. Second to ask me for payment. She was unpleasant and angry. Sad I couldn't get her name. Besides that rooms are convenient and clean with and offer to bring you food to the room if wished. It was a bit noisy but not to avoid sleeping. But this morning when I went to have breakfast at 7.30 it wasn't ready and I left without even a coffee. Nobody reply to me about it so I left. I am not a breakfast guy so it did not bother that much but I was expecting at leat a cup of coffee. After all,I don't think I will stop here again.
