We booked for one night on 9/29/17, as part of a two-day adventure. As we were going to a concert in Lagrange, GA before check in, I called the hotel and let Dee know that we would be midnight checking in. He was very nice and, when we arrived at midnight, check in was easy and fast. Not a large hotel (3 floors total). Our room was simple but clean and quiet. One bed was not the most comfortable, having a "dip" in it, but everything else was fine. Morning breakfast was simple, mostly continental with a waffle maker but suited our purposes. Check out was fast. Close to interstate & restaurants. Would recommend!

My two sons and I were evacuating from a hurricane and spent the night here. Both employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and stocked. As my oldest put it, "10/10, would stay again."

Help Wanted: Front Desk!

Since I am a former hotel General Manager, I look at things differently. Walked into the lobby around 6:15 PM. No one was at the front desk. Normally this is a busy time for check ins. It took around 7 minutes for the desk clerk to present herself. I assume she may have been running hotel errands. Her first word was 'what did I need'. My reply was 'checking in'. We went thru the check in process, however I am a RediCard member. She never offered me the bottle of water she was suppose to. I came by the front desk 3 additional times. She was never there. At least one time I know she was delivering towels. Makes me wonder if she had to put towels into rooms that she could rent? Something was off from normal hotel operations. The morning clerk wasn't any better, maybe worse. She went between the front desk and breakfast bar wearing her ear buds talking on her cell phone almost constantly! This is a hotel trying to make improvements. It's currently a Red Roof. I did see a sign where it was a Holiday Inn Express at one time. It looks like it was built as a Hampton Inn or Comfort Suites. As a Red Roof Inn, this property could be a dominate player. It's not a typical Red Roof Inn. Every property has a personality. Usually it starts with the front desk to set that friendly, hospitality tone. It didn't happen at this hotel. The tone set was " I don't care" about you as a guest. I have more things that are important to me. I could easily give this hotel a very good, or excellent, if it wasn't for the front desk. I rated it a poor because of the front desk. Hopefully, someone will be able to retrain, or replace the front desk personnel. This hotel has the potential to be way more than it currently is.

It's April 14. It's 85 degrees today. There's a sign on the door to the pool that says closed for season. Which season? Spring, or Summer? Is it only open for winter? The pool is sparkling blue, it's hot outside, and my daughter is crushed. Thanks for mentioning that when I booked. Also, there is 3 people in my family. There was 2 towels in the room. When I asked the clerk for a couple extra towels they seemed offended. The sad thing is that it's an attractive hotel in looks. Nice room. Great lobby. What a waste. I have stayed in every kind of hotel from dives to 4 stars, all over the country. Worst customer service ever.

Very tired from driving around mountains all day was headed back to Florida and it was late so we turned in to Red Roof..... the night clerk was one cool cucumber got us in a king side bed that was very comfortable. One thing I liked about the night clerk ...he talked to you like you were a real person with concern and very helpful.
