As a truck driver, I never know what kind of a place I will be staying. I stopped at this Red Roof Monday night and was pleasantly suprised. The two women working the front desk were very pleasant. Not wanting to drive my truck anywhere, I asked about restaurants in walking distance They told me several different places and were very helpful. Alot of places close by to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and unlike several places I have stayed I was not worried about laying down on the bed.

The room was great value, and it contained everything I needed for the trip - a comfy bed, hot shower, heater, safe. The room was also quiet which was made for a good night's sleep. What made the place memorable are the reception staff, who were all friendly and helpful. One in particular - Tasia - stood out with her warm and sunny disposition. She always greeted me with a smile, and was patient with my queries,. She was very helpful with advice regarding transportation and places to go to, and basically ensured i was taken care of. I can't think of a better introduction to Southern hospitality and warmth and the fact it's my first time in NC made it all the more special.

We checked in here for one night, as we were off to a Joe Jackson concert. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are great & beds are very comfortable. Shower was hot, although bathroom is small. Our room was quiet even though quite close to the highway. Would have liked tea & coffee making facilities. Would stay again if I was ever here again.

Sleep in your car you'd be better off!

Rude front desk employees, room was a mess broken furniture, 1 bed was made the other didn't seem to be, bed covers didn't match, no coffee maker or anything else. Mentioned the looks of the room and was told I could go find some place else without a refund. Never again!!!

How this place has 4 stars on Trip Advisor is unbelievable. Check Yelp, it rates 2. It was one of the worst places I've stayed. My parents and I stayed here on graduation and Mother's Day weekend for one night. My sister had booked the rooms for us months ago, and requested 2 rooms side by side, on the first floor, as my parents are elderly (80s), to make it easier. She also requested early check-in at 2 pm (Regular check-in is 3pm). They said they would try but could not guarantee, which is typical of most places. However, one hour early is not much to request. Anyway, we got there, and were told there was no way we could get our rooms until 3pm. Okay, fine. I went to run a couple of errands and came back a little after 3pm, expecting to be able to get into our rooms. Nope, still not ready. And, they were now putting us on the 3rd floor because the ones on the first floor were still an hour away from being ready. And there was one room in-between, not side-by-side. My mom told me that while I was gone, one of the front desk staff had gone into the parking lot and was out there with SEVERAL staff, including housekeeping, drinking cokes, talking and laughing. Really??? On a sold-out weekend where people need to get into their rooms? Finally at 3:20 they said our rooms were ready. We got our bags and I helped my parents to their room. (mine was still not ready). We open the door and I immediately see the floor of the room is WET from mopping. My mom starts to walk in and I tell her to stop because I can just see her slipping and falling on that floor! I was horrified. I go outside and the housekeeper's cart is in front of the room they are now cleaning for me. (This is at almost 3:30 pm that they are cleaning). I ask her to come dry the floor, she has no idea what I am saying because she does not speak English, which is fine, but the English-speaking motel staff are also in the room and do nothing to help interpret or explain what I need to her. Finally I grab towels and start drying the floor myself. The housekeeper finally understands and tries to help. By then the first motel staffer who checked us in is up there and I explain to her what the issue is, and that it would be a REALLY BAD THING if one of my parents fell and broke something, for EVERYONE. She agrees, but does nothing to help. Basically the attitude of the staff is "whatever." They are not rude, but they do nothing to go out of their way to help. I was appalled by what my mom told me was going on while I was out running my errand, by staff just hanging out in the parking lot when we were waiting to get into our room. The rooms seemed clean enough, but the place has chipped paint, old linens, and in general needs a big facelift. I also found it noisy at night. Hotel rooms that weekend were at a premium and scarce, so we had no other choice, but I would never stay there or again, or recommend to anyone. The management needs to step up, big time.
