Only reason I chose this place is because I was traveling with my dog, and everyone else in the great state of NC wants to charge you ridiculous pet fees. This place is more like a cheap motel. Outdated. Broken. Construction going on. Went out to sit by the pool for a few minutes before turning in. The manager sent someone out to tell me it's closed. How about being ore concerned with the pot heads meandering around your doors at night than someone sitting in the pool area because the sun went down. Didn't even bother with breakfast. Everything about this place is a joke. If you don't have a pet, you can do so much better for the price.

Price high vs value of room

Carla was awesome at check-in!! Really enjoyed talking to her.She was very helpful with any questions I had, and a good sport when I pointed out that their roof was not red, lol. Upon entering our room, it seemed really nice, looked newly remodeled. They opted for laminate flooring instead of carpeting, which was interesting. Upon closer inspection, the laminate flooring was really dirty, like it needed mopped badly!! There was brownish colored stuff on the floor under the front of the bed... either soda or blood, not sure which, but it looked gross. But other than that, everything was pretty nice. I was disappointed that there was no iron in the room, most places have them in all rooms. We did call down to the front desk to ask about one, but there was no answer, so I went the whole day in a very wrinkled blouse, lol. It was a nice stay, but not worth $108, I'd say it was over priced by about $40. The prices might have gone up due to the Wells Fargo PGA Tournament, which is why we were there.

Newly renovated room?

Disgusting! This was not acceptable. We were in a room next to Contractors who worked on the property til 10p. Beware.... I think that the photos we took say it all. It was in a seedy area of town. My advice..stay away.

A place to sleep if nothing else

My family and I stayed where from 4/20-4/22. If it hadnt been for free nights won on the local radio station, we would not have stayed here at all. The room was decent and furnished well, but there were only 2 bath towels and 2 face towels. For a family of 4 in a room with 2 beds, that's not nearly enough. When my wife inquired about getting more towels, she was told none were available until 10am the next morning. That would be somewhat understandable if the hotel had been fully booked. But 75% of the rooms were under renovation, so we couldn't understand where all the unused towels were located. As I mentioned, many of the rooms were under renovation. They placed us in Room the middle and below rooms being worked on. So of course we had to listen to hammering and drilling and loud conversation until 11:45pm....when we were told they stopped working at 7pm. The "breakfast included" consists of your choice of 4 kinds of cereal or honey buns. Thank goodness there was a Waffle House next door. My family and I aren't primadonnas by any means. But this was a very disappointing visit.

Several families from my son's baseball team stayed here the weekend. The grass wasn't cut. Trash was everywhere. The sink in the room looked like an after-thought and didn't drain well. We only had two towels for 3 guests. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. However, the noise was difficult to deal with. Street traffic and those outside and above our room was extremely distracting. The second night, I felt like I was at a block party that I wasn't invited to. Guests were lounging in lawn chairs on the walk just outside my room during late hours of the night/early morning. Loud talking, laughing, bottles falling over - I felt uneasy. I was very close to calling cops just so that I could pack up my belongings and go home, which I probably should have done - but I decided to wait it out since the overall mood of those outside was happy and non-violent. They didn't cause me any trouble (other than the loud inconvenience). However, I felt generally unsafe and would not recommend this hotel for anyone - especially those with kids or youth groups. On a positive, the staff I dealt with were nice and respectful.
