Staff is very attentive n professional. They worked with me on my schedule and gave me great weekly rates. I feel very comfortable here . You get what u pay for here. The owner n staff treat me like family

Worst hotel in springfield

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Springfield, Illinois and this one by far is the worst!! The dude at the front desk is rude as hell!! When I told him about how there were roaches and the room was filthy and the toilet was cracked he refused to refund my money. Later come to find out from customer service that would have been the fastest way to get my money back. I don't live in Springfield... Just don't come here, heed the warnings

Given handicap room and one bath towel one hand towel for 2 people , didn’t ask fir handicap room .

Checked in clerk mention handicap room , I said no didn’t want that kind of room , my husband is 6’7, he said we wouldn’t get that room , but he lied and we did , went to take showers this morning only one hand and bath towel to share fir 2 people . The chair was badly worn out . When we checked out the clerk told us we should of called front desk . We stayed their last year , but wouldn’t recommend this place .

Long term stay was very enjoyable

Due to unseen circumstances, we needed a place to stay for an extended period of time. The staff here were pleasant, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff made sure that we had all the supplies we needed. They even let us keep our dog at no extra charge. I highly recommend staying here(long or short term)

We stayed at Red Roof Inn, Springfield in March 2020 whilst travelling Route 66. We booked a king room on prior to arrival. Check in was quick and we were given the keys to our king room - non smoking. When we opened the door we were immediately hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. We went back to reception and told them the situation and he offered us an accessible king room. The room didn’t smell as bad but there was still a musty smell about it. The carpet was also filthy, as was the bed cover. The towels were also a shade of grey instead of white. We didn’t get much sleep that night, as the people in the next room must have been chain smoking insomniacs. They were going outside every 10 minutes all night for a smoke (unfortunately for us their door creaked every time it was opened) and their cigarette smoke filtered into our room via the air con. Needless to say we checked out first thing. When the guy on reception asked if we had a good stay, we told him what happened and he said he couldn’t control what the guests did. If I had to give any positives, there was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room, but we stayed well clear of them to be honest. The bed sheets under the dirty cover were clean and the bed was comfortable despite the lack of sleep. Needless to say, I would NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. Please heed my advice and stay elsewhere. You will regret it if you don’t.
