Have stayed before and will stay again - great clean clean place!

Haven't stayed here for about 2 years but am glad I made the Red Roof on Maple Dr.my choice for my last trip to Buffalo. In terms of location, this motel is very close to the airport as well as minutes away from a variety of shopping and eating choices (a mall, and multiple other stores along Transit Road). While the location may be a bit tricky to find at first, if you follow the directions you will easily find your way. I had the handicapped room on this visit and while this is not my favorite room I was comfortable with it this time mainly because the rooms at this motel are so clean. It is so nice to see a very clean motel. Staff, especially housekeeping staff also very pleasant although the young woman working the front desk in the early evenings could use some social skills - very competent but not much in the way of personality. But who cares with a clean room? Location has a nice wooded area around the motel which is nice for travelers with pets who need a pleasant space to walk them. At times there is "airport" noise - it can be quite loud which does not bother me at all but for people who don't like noise it could be irritating. The bathroom in my room had lots of light - something I always appreciate in a bathroom. The shower curtain however was too close and it made the shower feel crowded as i kept bumping up against it. The towel were also very thin and not very big - the pillows were almost as thin as the towels - then again they were clean! Still this Roof location is a great inexpensive place to stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful inn During a snowstorm in Buffalo. Due to traffic, I was unable to travel that day.The staff was more than accommodating. Eric Jen and Liz are such great human beings. Thank you for all you do.

We just needed a bed

Like the title says, we just needed a bed for a few hours. We had a 530am flight out of Buffalo. We had an evening even in Rochester, so when we arrived we'd only have a few hours to sleep before we had to get up and head to the airport. We booked in advance knowing we'd need somewhere cheap to stay the night. The room was very small. It's your typical 60's - 70's hotel room. Bed, sink area w/in sights of the bed, toilet / shower in the the bathroom and visible closet. The room looked like it was last updated in the 90's, okay 80's. We had two rooms, my wife and I, then my daughter and her BF. Upon leaving, both entered the vehicle, my wife and daughter simultaneously said, please don't make me stay in a place like that again. It did have a creep factor. At night, the street approaching was dark and desolate. There were a few people hanging around, smoking outside their rooms. On the plus side, there were a number of quick bites to eat around the area (at a late hour). It's proximity to the airport is excellent. I rated this a poor, but that may be a little harsh. It's not average in my book, but this is a different category. It serves a purpose. If you need a one night stay after a long drive, this may be fine for you, especially if the price is reasonable. I travel to Buffalo / Rochester often and I've seen the outside rate price (bold red LED to show the Thruway) quite high during special nearby events. If the price is well below $100, it's fine. No, I would not stay here again. I have to listen to my wife and daughter on occasion.

Great overnight stop

This is a great hotel to stop at while passing through town. It's right off the highway, but very quiet. The rooms are comfortable and pretty clean. The only issue we had was under the bed was pretty dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while...there was a shoe (not ours) under the bed. Other than that, it was great. The bed was comfortable. They have laminate flooring so I didn't have to worry about my puppy. They are dog friendly and have nice lawns for walking your dog. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful even though we pulled in at 1am. I'd stay here again when passing through or vacationing at the falls!

Pleasantly surprised

Came in for thanksgiving for Three days with pregnant spouse- she’s very particular so I was nervous, spent less on the hotel for three days than one night at a place she liked. But the place is a jewel: off the beaten path, quiet, clean, parking right outside the room, totally unexpected pleasant surprise. Coming back in January for baby shower and staying here again. Jennifer at the front was very helpful too. total#winner
