Think twice, no, think three times before staying here
January 02, 2019

On our trip from MN to TX with three small children, we realized that we needed to stop near or in OKC to break up the trip. I booked two rooms on the Red Roof Inn website. Upon arrival, we noticed many issues. The parking lot is poorly lit, and the rooms are very old and dirty. One of the rooms looked like it had male bodily fluids on the floor, along with bedspreads with holes in them from cigarettes, and a bathroom that was unclean. The toilet lid was also interesting, being a completely different size than the actual toilet tank, so you had to be careful sitting anything on it. Upon check out, I showed photos of the room to the front desk worker, who didn't seem to care at all about what was on the floor (?!?) but thought that seven dollars off the room rate was in order for the hole in the bedspread. I then got a generic 'we're sorry' e-mail from the GM. It's very clear to me, based on the conditions of the property that it has been neglected for quite some time. I wouldn't stay here again under any circumstances, and I'm very disappointed at how the management handled my concerns.

Their model pics aren't a true experience. Stay away

I have previously had a great experience with Red Roof Inns. But I'm swearing them away forever after this past weekend. My experience started when I arrived just before midnight. My room was prepaid through a government portal. But on arrival, I was ambushed with a surprise $40 "deposit" that had to be in cash. I wasn't carrying cash, so I had to use their ATM, which had a high $3.50 fee. They then force you to sign an agreement stating they have the right to inspect your room at checkout, among other demands, before you get the cash back. They get to keep the deposit if the room is dirty when you leave. My room was filthy when I arrived. Mystery stains on the chairs and walls. Peeling wood laminate on the wood fixtures. Floor had weird holes under the carpet and the carpet was ripped; it was uneven so much I could barely open the door to get in. Mystery stains in the shower. The toilet was so close to the wall the toiler paper jammed into my arm when I sat down. There were 3 lamps in the room, but only 1 had a working lightbulb. The other two lamps had something screwed into them to prevent a lightbulb being placed in. I was there for 2 nights but only got 1 shampoo. When a hotel is too cheap to replace shampoo on the second morning, it's a sign. The staff was nice enough, I guess. But the whole hotel just looked like an armpit. The Motel 6 next door looked cleaner and well-lit.

For the price it served the purpose!
December 16, 2018

I stayed here on business in December and it wasn’t outstanding but it was good and served its purpose. The rooms were clean and the room had a desk big enough for me to work in. The fridge and microwave were a help for me, so I could go to the local Walmart and not have to worry about eating out every meal. Plenty of hot water, the area wasn’t the best but it definitely wasn’t the worst. There was some noise but it stopped early enough (11pm or so) that I could get some decent sleep. The cash deposit kinda threw me for a loop, and was actually $40 but I got it back when I checked out after they inspected the room. Room looked like they thought about updating it and tried their best but it’s an old room. I had no complaints with it. Not the most comfortable bed but not the worst. The toiletries kind of sucked but again for the price of the room Walmart was up the road for shampoo and conditioner. They had some semi stale muffins for a continental breakfast but again.. for the price or the room Walmart was right up the road. Front desk at check out was nice. I was pretty tired and don’t remember the guy from check in much other than he seemed just as tired and cranky as me, but not in a bad way. If you’re looking to be pampered and have all the bells and whistles, go elsewhere. If you’re looking to sleep someplace clean and not break the bank, this will do in a pinch.

Great price and even better customer service!!!

The staff at the front desk were so helpful. I accidentally booked a smoking room and they did some swapping around of things to get me into a non smoking room. Thank you Keith and "super nice lady person in the office". You guys rock :)

Just ok

Pros: 1. Location - it's by i40 so it's easy. Also close to airport. 2. OK sized rooms. 3. Free parking. Cons: 1. A bit dirty (wasn't cleaned well). 2. Wasn't informed of the 'free' breakfast. 3. You can hear noise from above if you're on the lower floor.
