Staff is a "10". Managment is a "2"
Two queen beds for around $45. Room was modestly clean, bath-tub drained very slowly. Breakfast was almost non-existent: : They had cold cereal/milk-nothing else. Clerk had to get bowls from adjacent restaurant. The manager could not be found. A few people complained to the clerk-- the only employee on site She was friendly- but powerless... ***She was even shoveling snow between handling phone-calls and guests.
Great customer service
My wife and I stayed here with our dog on the day after Christmas as we returned home from New York. We often stay at Red Roof when traveling. We find them convenient, clean and a good value. The Clearfield facility lived up to our expectations. What is remarkable is that when we got home I realized I had left a library book in the room. I called the hotel and spoke to Jessica. She searched the lost and found the book. Then she said, "I will be happy to send it to you if you will give me your address." I did that, and she said, "If you will give me your phone number, I will call you with the Tracking Number after I put it in the mail tomorrow." She just called me. The book should arrive next Tuesday. That's Great Service. Thanks Jessica!
Double Charge on Credit Card
The night that I stayed on the hotel was great, there was no issues regarding cleaning or organization. My main concern is that I am being charged twice for a night that I stayed on the hotel. I am trying to solve it with the guest relations, and Also calling to the hotel however I am not having a resolution regarding the refund on my credit card. I found in my statements the value charged for the night that I stayed on 07/06/2017, of $74.11. And now in 08/20/2018, I was charged again with the value of $76.29 for the same days that I stayed on the hotel. I am really upset with this situation, since I am being charged again one year after I stayed on the hotel, and I have not done any other reservation since the date that I stayed on the hotel.
Work in progress
Got the room cheap and I stay in plenty of Red Roofs so I know what to expect. Looks like the property was something else before and they are trying to get it fixed up and to standards. While checking in there was a discussion about the hot water not working so I was told about that right up front. Front desk manager was working on getting someone in to fix it. Still wasn't working in the morning but I went in knowing. Lot of "porch" lights out along the outside entrances and walk ways. Guessing the previous owners let those go. Ours was on but it makes the joint look sketchy. Getting those all replaced will help the properties image. The front office is not well marked and that part of the lot is very dark as is the entrance at night. That said the reception area and front desk are huge, clean and modern. They looked to have a nice breakfast area also. The two front desk clerks were cheerful and polite and genuine in listening to my ramblings The room was large and clean, it smelled nice and except for the bathroom for being touchy all was above my usual Red Roof expectations. Looks like the new owners are working hard to make this a top notch property. I'd stay here again especially for the price.
Most welcoming hotel
My large family has been traveling a lot recently. This hotel not only was fine with it, they embraced us. We were truly welcomed here. They went out of their way to make sure we had any and everything we needed. The rooms were clean. The beds were actually comfortable. The Lobby smells good, too. We would recommend this place every time.

Pet Policy: One family pet not to exceed 80 pounds is permitted at no additional charge. Pet must be declared during registration and kept on a leash when outside guest room. Pets must never be left unattended in the guestroom and when you walk your pet please clean up after your pet.
