Brand new face.

I relocated to Lubbock from Pennsylvania and none of the staff here know me from Adam, but everyone has been so friendly and so helpful answering all my questions. It's the first and only hotel I'll be staying at until I find myself a house here. Being new to an area and not knowing anyone is a little nerve-wracking but they have inadvertently made me feel alot better and more comfortable just being themselves. I would definitely recommend this to friends or family visiting here. The pools nice, their lounge area is open and comfortable. The room was super clean, the fridge and microwave are working and clean. All in all this has truly been an enjoyable almost 2 weeks!

Lots of potential but needs some help

I like staying here because there is a bar and an indoor pool/hot tub. But the place needs a little sprucing up. The elevator and carpeted hallways could use an update. The staff is friendly but the cleaning needs some tightening up. Twice I have stayed here and the sheets, while they might have been clean, were stained. And I don't think the comforter had been washed either. Most things I can deal with but a comfortable, clean bed should be a necessity!

Nice for the price, $59 with tax. This hotel seems to have been a nice one back in the day. It reminds me of “Radiator Springs” from the movie Cars. Maybe it was once “grand” but it’s age shows. (So does mine for that matter.) The rooms have new paint. However, they failed to remove screws or repair sheetrock before painting. Ceilings may have been 8ft in height. I’m 5.5 and could reach up and touch the ceiling. The bathrooms also were attempted to be updated. Again, repairs were not done. So, nice marble around the tub but small damage in Sheetrock. Breakfast area was clean. The atmosphere was fair. Again, not bad for the price and a place to rest between travels.

The only good thing about this hotel is their breakfast. The hotel probably was nice at one point. But now it’s a dump. The elevator was broken the whole time I was there. I had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs 7 months pregnant carrying my 1 yr old and holding my 3 yr old hand, not to mention bringing the bags up and down. The room was ok but they don’t change the sheets between every guest because my bed had crumbs in it. The floor turned white socks black. The walls are thin didn’t get any sleep dogs barked all night and I had to call to complain about some teens partying loudly next door. When I checked in they told me check out was at 12 but they started knocking on the door at 11 for me to check out not sure which time was correct. Finally when I checked out they tried to keep my deposit saying two small towels were stained. They showed me pictures the towels were dirty because I cleaned food off my toddler’s face but it wasn’t anything that wouldn’t come out during the wash. They were rude during the interaction the manager walked off and told the lady working the desk to give me my money back and basically ban me from staying there, which is fine I had no plans of ever returning. I live 10 hours away and booked this hotel online without ever seeing it which was a mistake I wasn’t going to make again.

Overall Great Place

Staff is great which makes up for the building being older and in need of repair. My room was clean and breakfast was really good. The Wifi was not the best. Didnt get to use the hot tub as planned because it closed at 6pm. Overall it met my basic needs.
