They allow pets is the best thing I can say

The hotel it self was dated. All the lamp shades were old and stained. The ceiling in the shower was black with mildew. The free breakfast didn't amount to much more than toast, yogurt and cereal. The in room coffee, shampoo, etc were never replaced after day 1. Although the hotel appeared to be mostly empty, they wouldn't give me a 1 hour late checkout. The best thing I can say was that I was able to take my dog with me to Gulf Shores for a tennis tournament.

Dirty, and they didn't care.

I checked in late and exhausted last Friday night for 2 night stay. The room had an odor like something sweet to cover up something. The fake wood floor -vinyl plank maybe - was a little gummy feeling. I walked barefoot a bit before I got into the bed. First I thought the sheets were dirty, then realized it was crap off my feet that came from the floor - hair, dirt, crud. It appears they never swept, just mopped with some cheap cleaner (no rinse either, hence the gumminess), probably rinsing the mop in the dirty water in the bucket from previous rooms, and the hair, dirt, crud got stuck in it. Ew. The tub was a bit slippery I think it may have been the same cleaner. Then I thought all surfaces suspect. Second: the toilet would flush properly, this was worrisome. The real kicker: When I discussed with the desk clerk (manager "should be here 2 hours, come back" - um, can't do that, I have stuff to do); she says: "what do you expect?" I said " I expect a clean room!" Her: "No, I mean, you want a discount? Check out and take tonight off?" So of course! Why would I want to stay where they don't even seem to care that there is a housekeeping issue?! Probably that cleaning issue couldn't be taken care of quickly anyway, scrubbing will be required. She did give me $25 back on the previous night and waived the upcoming night. Also I did notice NOBODY was there for the free breakfast...

Worst hotel ever

A friend reserved this for us as she had several rooms reserved. When we arrived the room smelled horrible, some were between mildew, mold and smoke. I noticed in both of our rooms that there was mold growing on things. The lamp shades, the chairs, on the walls and picture frames all had black mold growing on them. I went to front desk to complain and all I got was "We will let the manager know in the morning". The next morning I went to the desk and the manager had several options. 1- we could check out and get a refund for the oncoming night but we had to check out right then ( we were trying to leave at the moment to go out for the day). 2- we could move rooms but had to right then as check out was 11am and it was almost 11am ( once again we were trying to go out for the day) or 3- he would give us $30 off of the oncoming night if we stayed. We opted for 3 because we were trying to go out for the day and didn't have time to pack up and move hotels or rooms. It was an absolute horrible hotel and I made sure that for over $100 a night that they knew. Its ridiculous to pay that much for a crappy room not even on the beach. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's ok for one night I guess

We stayed here is July for 3 Nights and arriving into the room we saw a burned up lampshade. I had seen this image in other reviews but thought surely they have changed them since. Nope. The bathroom was o.k it wasn't nasty but wasn't clean either. The towels are basically wash clothes so you'll need more than 1 per person. What tipped the bucket for me even for the price was the fact the whole room was damp because of old outdated ac units. It rattled all night and kept everything in our room damp including clothes and luggage. I wouldn't stay here again but it also wasn't the absolute worst place I've stayed either.

Nice room

The room was nice, we booked online so no issues with the price. The only reason for the low star rating would be the huge push at check out, the staff was rude and extremely pushy to get us out at 11. Sad really because the room was nice, clean and the grounds well maintained but only a handful of guests. The location was good, off the road so noise was not an issue. This location did have a pool that was also pretty clean and working well, all in all very good other than that unwelcoming push to check out.
