Nice but ....

At first the check in was fast, when we got to the room it was clean. The heater was ok. But one of the beds was bad, it was like it had a hole in the corner, and you sank down. They offer me only 15% discount on my next reservation, maybe I will skip this hotel next time. Also noticed like is a shelter for people.

Worst Red Roof I have ever seen

I've stayed at a lot of iffy hotels in my travels. But this one was among the worst. I wanted to get to DC before a storm and decided to give this hotel a try after seeing recent good reviews. Boy, those reviews couldn't have been more different from what I saw. The only positives were fast internet and no bugs. But everything else? This place is obviously an older property and, as a civil engineer myself, I can tell you that many items in the room did not appear to meet code. The "window" is a door to a patio and this door's "lock" is a thin metal bar resting on a plastic ledge. The ledge began to give with a moderate amount of force. The refrigerator did not work and smelled quite horrid. Carpet was coming up in a few places and there was a lot of grime near the floor. Used paper was stuck in the bathroom vent. Heat was inconsistent. Walls were paper-thin and I heard music and conversations in the next room and in the hall. Staff was not particularly pleasant and seemed more interested in using their phones than checking people in/out. AVOID THIS HOTEL. If you have a first-floor room, it is very easy for someone to break in and the cleanliness is far below what I normally see at a Red Roof.

I have stayed on Jan 2018. My stay was okay. But here is what my observation is below, Pros. Hotel stuffs are good. Cons. Hotel room and furniture needs to be updated and rooms looks dark because lights in the room are not sufficient. According to the price the hotel is not that worth it.

I booked over 5 rooms for relatives visiting Newark-Delaware, from NY for Christmas, and I am glad I picked this place. Everyone enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of this red roof. Manager RJ was very helpful all along on accommodating and booking rooms. The price was excellent for the value. Thanks from Candida & Gustavo.

Great stop off I 95

We were traveling South and the rain was getting worse. We decided to stop for the night and found this Red Roof . The staff was welcoming and they are pet friendly which was a plus. My expectations were Low so I was totally surprised at the comfort of the room. To start the rooms have a door stop to keep it open while bringing in bags. The beds were comfortable with clean white linens and covers. Electrical outlets were convenient. The bathroom a bit small as was the counter. The full length mirror on the outside of the door served well whether outside or fixing the back of your hair in the bathroom. In all you can't go wrong and the price is very good as well.
