I had a great experience especially Anthony Brown who made sure that my family and I received the best service!! Going out of his way He did all possible to make our stay the best it could be. Awesome stay!

Nicely located economic option

This Red Roof Inn is located near plenty of good restaurants, bars and shopping. This Red Roof Inn is a typical two story outside entry style motel. Our room was a two full bed room although they do offer single King bed rooms as well. We had a microwave, a mini refrigerator, two full beds desk area, nice sitting chair, small but adequate television, seperate vanity with a separate toilet/tub room. Our room was clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasant. This location is older and is showing some signs of age, nothing that would deter me from staying again, but paint chipping and plaster cracks here and there. Our door lock had an interesting "ritual" necessary to work properly. I probably should have asked for it to be looked at, but I was feeling lazy and I got it to work. This location is pet friendly with no extra charge which is important to us. The WiFi is free and pretty good. I will tell you that this location just went all rooms smoke free, but our room still smelled heavily of smoke. There is no pool, workout room, business center or breakfast. There is coffee only in the office, no room coffee maker. If you're looking to just pass through for a night sleep and nothing more, this is a good deal and the beds are comfy!

The property is pretty much a no frills overnight stay. The office offers coffee and information with polite replies. The room was quite clean and pretty modern with a twist of retro. We paid in an advance booking so the $60 for a room with safe, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, 40"? Flatscreen, iron with board, and business desk is exceptional.

Close to highway and amenities

This comfortable hotel is close to a major highway and is surrounded by good restaurants and stores. The front desk staff were friendly and chatty. The room was a newer style and while it was fairly basic, it was clean and very comfortable.

Unsafe and Rude Staff

I blew into the lobby at this Red Roof and exclaimed to the desk attendant that my drive from Madison was a treacherous one due to the storm that was raging outside. I told her I was so glad to be there due to the hazardsous driving conditions and that I’d hurt my neck during my frightening journey. I am a cheerful, extroverted person who makes a point to always ask those I encounter in service roles how their day is going and often try to give them a compliment. The extremely poor service started with her down tempo, non hospitable attitude and when I asked for a room with a microwave so I could heat up a pad for my injured neck. She curtly said that because I booked on Hotel Tonight I only get “the cheapest room” She told me when I pressed for where I could find one there was one in vending so I politely asked for a room close to it as I knew I’d be going back and forth to hear and reheat my neck pad. She told me she put me in the last room on the other side of the building. When I joked that she couldn’t have put me further away- she snapped that she could have put me in the other building. I also asked for extra pillows that she snapped they didn’t have. She at no point made any effort to accommodate me, didn’t express concern or empathy about my drive or my injury and just had an over all lack of professionalism in her appearance and attitude. Worst of all when she gave me my key I told my husband who was in the car outside the lobby our room number on the opposite side of the building and I decided to walk down there to stretch my eggs as he finished a phone call. Upon finding the room the door appeared closed but as I walked up to it it swung open to reveal a made up, but dark room. I dashed away, concerned there could be someone in there that wasn’t supposed to be and it’s on the ground level in a dark parking lot. I returned to the lobby and informed the attendant of the situation and told her it was quite frightening and requested a different room. Instead of apologizing she asked if I had “at least closed the door” Shocked I reiterated that the open door could have been a dangerous situation and that I hurried away when I saw it. She rolled her eyes and made it clear she was very annoyed I hadn’t taken care of this and started to walk out without a word. I told her I was eager to get in a room and asked if she could get me new keys before she went to investigate. She ignored me and left. After waiting for what seemed like awhile I became concerned for HER and started walking toward the room. She was walking back and I admit I should not have said this but I remarked “are there any other chores I can do for you” I said it in a joking manner but her response was very serious. She told me I needed to change my attitude and while I don’t remember what else she said but was shocked at how she was treating me. My husband witnessed the interaction and intervened. It felt like street altercation between two advisories, not one of a night auditor and hotel guest. My husband went in the lobby to collect our new keys and was floored that she used the time alone with him to berate me and express how appalled SHE was at how I had handled the situation. He said calmly that he was just trying to get some customer service so we could get to our room. And don’t you know it, she put us in the other building as far away from the microwave as possible.
