Only hotel available; booked two nights. Roaches, mold in bathroom, unswept hairy floor, furniture damaged and stained, cigarette stuffed into sink drain, TV didn’t work, deadbolt didn’t work and no battery in smoke detector. We requested room change and had very similar problems. EXTREMELY unclean. Had no where else to go so had to stay first night. Did not stay the second night but did not receive a refund. Extremely overinflated price due to NASCAR race event. Front desk clerk was very nice and apologetic, but that was the only nice thing I can say. I have many more photos but you get the idea...steer clear!

Painful stay
August 02, 2019

We (son in law and two grand children and I) stopped on our way to the west coast. The check in and room were basic enough, clean, friendly those were the highlights. I had trouble sleeping as there was noise and an alarm that went off roughly every hour. Then at about 4:30 am I got a call on the room phone from someone saying they were from the front desk and that the computer system had gone down and the general manager had authorized a $66.00 refund for calling so early to update personal information and they asked a bunch of questions before giving them the info they asked for I said I would just take care of it at the front desk in the morning. They kept asking and I hung up - I couldn’t go back to sleep. To top it off the bedside clock was set ahead by 2 hours and we got up at 7:30 to get everybody showered and ready for breakfast in the lobby - we got packed up and in the lobby by what we thought was 8:50 (breakfast ends at 9) to discover they were out of everything - no coffee was especially painful but we thought we got there at the end of breakfast service so our bad. We then discovered it was 7:00 - 7 am and already no breakfast OR COFFEE! We have 800 miles to drive today with no sleep, no breakfast, and no coffee. Painful!

Quick stop

Heading home to NC from AR, I drove halfway to Oxford, AL. I have stayed in a lot of Red Roof Inns as they are dog friendly. I love the fact that there is no carpet. This make the room cleaner in my opinion. Room was fine, but the bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel. It wasn't really a problem as I was only their overnight, but it was just unusual. Overall for this type of hotel it was a good deal.

Housekeeping & Breakfast need improving
May 26, 2019

Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting relatives in the area. The room was generally nice and spacious, no complaints apart from the bathroom fixtures need updating as they are showing signs of wear. Housekeeping needs improving. From what we observed, there seems to be only 2 people tending to all of the rooms. Daily housekeeping consists of the lady going into the room merely to replace towels while the guy talks on his mobile phone. They also seem to want to get into your room just after 9am and do not want to come back later because it's only them servicing the rooms. They also pull the covers on the bed up to neaten it but there was no cleaning of the sink, toilet or bath/shower over the three days. We noted thick dust and dirt underneath the sofa and also on top of the tv unit. The bathroom floor also hadn't been properly cleaned, even when we first arrived. As for breakfast, on 2 of the 3 mornings there was only either cereal of one of those waffle makers (not everyone likes waffles for breakfast). Not even any bread to make toast. When I asked the receptionist, she replied there was none and she had put it on the grocery list. There was a Walmart virtually next door so do not understand why a staff member couldn't go get some. Not really good enough when it happened twice during our stay. On a more positive note, we were comfortable and it was pretty quiet.
