Customer Service could be better

I stay here fairly often as I travel for work and I have an animal and they are pet friendly. Not a lot of choices nearby unfortunately. The room was ready for me and I called twice before I got there to inform them of my later than usual arrival time. Check-in was quick but surprised to find out that my card was charged before my arrival despite me informing them early in the day of my later time of arrival. I felt as if they thought I was a no show so the card was charged. I needed to extend the stay for another 7 nights as I have in the past. I notified Tiffany via phone and she'd told me the rate I'd be charged at my request as the rates do vary depending on day. I came down later to confirm my intent to extend another 7 nights. In speaking with Tiffany I was in process of finalizing this when James whom I was not speaking to about this matter chimed in saying "you're good till Thursday." I asked if I can just do this now so I don't lose out on a room. He said "Fine" followed by "Next time you need a price quoted you speak to me cause I don't know what price she's giving you. Why would she give me an inaccurate price? Don't quite understand that. And I went down this evening to address that the stay was extended several days ago and my card wasn't charged. I asked if it'd be soon. He said probably. Said it with a very sarcastic tone. One final thing. I signed up for the Redi Card program as I frequent Red Roof often. When I had questions I asked James who was the only one in there. He seemed flustered that I'd ask questions. And YES once again with the highly sarcastic tone. I wish Peter the manager could see how he speaks to me as I don't deserve this. Makes me feel like I'm causing him undue stress having him do something for me the paying customer.

Good for an overnight stay.

We were just passing through and needed a place a sleep. Red Roof fit the need. The room is very basic, bed, tv, bathroom. The floor was vinyl which is probably better than carpet for cleanliness. The night manager was nice at check-in.

Close enough to the Yale campus

We were unable to find any reasonably-priced hotel rooms in the New Haven area when attending the Yale graduation festivities, despite beginning our search eight months in advance, but were able to get a room at the Milford Red Roof Inn. The hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel, but the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk clerk was friendly. We were tired, hungry and thirsty when we checked in and were pleased to find a Springhill Suites by Marriott within walking distance that sold beer and snacks to go.

Awful manager

We stayed here for 2 weeks because it is pet friendly. When we requested to stay another week the very rude manager Tiffany Gonzalez sold our room right out from under us!! We told her all week we'd probably be staying longer and she said that was fine, just let her know. So the first time we tried to go to the office it was closed and locked. The second time she said the computers were 'backed up' and it wasn't a good time, that she'd call our room to confirm. After waiting TWO HOURS with no call we went back to the office a third time. That's when she told us we were out, she'd already booked someone for that suite who would pay more than we were paying. This was all within four hours, not like we were lax about it. Attitude times ten with her! We gladly vacated and went to a nicer place for a few dollars more. This is basically a welfare motel, with abandoned cars in the parking lot. We stayed because of the pet friendly environment so we tolerated the loudness and the neighbor constantly asking for cigarettes. Don't go there if you can help it.

When in Milford, you're only in Milford

The hotel was a typical room with two beds a tv, a bathroom and a sink. Nothing special but, good for the price. The problem with this hotel is not the fault of the hotel rather but, the fault of selfish, disgusting, gross, CIGARETTE SMOKERS! My room stunk of cigaretts (thanks lazy smokers you can smoke right outside the door and not poison me and my son). This hotel does not punish or enforce it's non smoking policy enough. You are close to the wonderful Silver Sands beach. A beautiful, peaceful place to take walks or maybe swim (too cold when I went). Eat at La Casita for tasty, affordable Colombian food that will make you sing.
