I stayed only for 1 night but the staff was very friendly, starting with the lady in the front desk liliana to the housekeeper rocio, and also a guy from maintenance he was very polite and funny, we had no issues and the room was very clean and fresh. I will definitely be back.

I travel a lot. And, when I say “a lot,” I mean, Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” may as well be the theme song to my life. I have the good fortune of bringing Rico, my four-legged best pal, with me on my travels. I look for reposeful (but conveniently located), hospitable, places to stay that are in my budget. (I rarely pay over $90 per night). When in the area, I look no further than the Red Roof Inn in Milford, CT. The newly renovated rooms are comfortable, spacious, and meticulously clean. The staff is the most hospitable I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, starting with Robert the owner. His concierge and cleaning staff are attentive, while privacy and repose are maintained. The property is beautifully maintained, with ample land covered in lush green grass to exercise your dog, and doggy bag dispensers with receptacles scattered around conveniently. Every time I stay, I am treated to a fantastic experience, end-to-end.

Highly Recommend Affordable Clean Great Service!

My rental apartment had an emergency so we had to book last minute at Red Roof Milford - the staff was so friendly and was ready to accommodate our family of 4 (with a infant.) Our apartment took longer than expecting to repair, so we needed to extend our stay to 2 weeks, there were no issues with doing so, we were able to stay in our original room. The housekeepers are so sweet and always offering their services. The staff always a smile on their faces, even when just running into them in the hallways! The rooms are kept clean, smelling very fresh since it is a smoke free hotel (excellent benefit since we had the kids, they weren’t around any nasty smoke smell!) The restaurants are very close to the hotel as well as a CVS to get any essentials quickly. I highly recommend to book your stay with the Red Roof In Milford!

Dirty hotel / Shady staff.

I spent a night at this motel a week ago and, though cheap ($70+), was not happy. When I arrived I thought the price, which I had booked on Expedia was cheaper but it was not. No sweat. Anyway after checking in I went to my assigned room and found out that the room to which I was assigned had the keychain on from the inside so I could not get in. I called the clerk who told me to come down to get the key for another room, which I did. I went out, got some food then returned to the room. I called the clerk, who I had just passed in the reception area on my way to my room because I had some issue accessing the internet and for some reason the phone rang for about a minute and a half without an answer. I called back and finally he picked up and told me that there were no issues with the internet. O.K. I locked the door, putting on the chain and was ironing my clothing for my departure the next day when suddenly I heard a key in the door and it was pushed open. Luckily, I was wearing my robe and the chain was on the door. I saw a male and I hurriedly slammed the door shut but I got so angry I immediately opened the door (of course, with the chain on it) and shouted "What are you doing opening my door" only to find that it was the clerk who had opened the door. He immediately stated, "Sorry, Ms. I was only checking to make sure the room was O.K." I slammed the door in his face. If an employee is coming to check that a room was O.K., (a) you should have received a call that something is wrong with the room first; (b) you should have called first and there was an agreement that you were/are coming up; and (c) even if we had communicated such, shouldn't you have knocked on the door when you arrived at my room instead of pushing it open uninvited and unannounced? I will never stay at that motel again. The floors are not clean and for some reason, even in the non-smoking rooms there is still the strong odor of smoke. I have stayed at Red Roof Inn in the past and had to be moved because the smell of smoke was extremely strong in non-smoking rooms so it seems to be something that they are not concerned about. With that said, this was a very frightening experience for me. It could have been an error but there is too much here that do not add up. Why was he trying to get into the room without permission or being invited in, I honestly can't say but I do not feel good about it.
