We stayed here so our pets could stay free. You get what you pay for! The heater was crazy loud and when that wasn’t making racket the refrigerator was! The room was decent enough and did not smell like smoke like others have commented.

Complaint Detail / Problem Complaint Type: Service Issues Problem: Business alleges to be a Red Roof Inn and to comply with the policies and procedures of Red Roof Inn including, but not specifically limited to, Redicards Rewards Member policies. The aforementioned policies do not allow for charging an early check-in fee, a cancellation policy of 72-hour notice, or a pet limit of 25 pounds. Red Roof Corporate Reservation Call Center as well as Red Roof Inn Customer Relations department both confirm that none of the aforementioned local policies of said hotel were available on the Red Roof Inn Website prior to an attempted stay at said facility on December 26, 2019. In spite of this, the facility attempted to charge the client a $35.00 check-in fee and prohibited the client from canceling reservations for a room made months prior to December 26, 2019, and within 48 hours of December 26, 2019. The latter reservation was made at an advertised rate that was considerably lower than the former reservation. The client had intended to cancel the former reservation upon arrival to the facility consistent with Red Roof Inn Redicards Rewards Policy of being able to cancel a reservation up to 8 pm on the night of the scheduled check-in. The client would have had no way of knowing that the facility would refuse to abide by these corporate policies and instead make up their own policies while booking on the Red Roof Inn Website. Red Roof Inn Reservations was contacted at approximately 1330 on December 26, 2019. They spoke to the management of the facility and the manager refused to cancel either reservation nor to waive any early check-in fee. They CLEARLY indicated to the Red Roof Inn Reservations Specialist that the client WOULD be charged for BOTH reservations and refused to cancel them. Client confirmed with Red Roof Inn Reservations that the same credit card was used to book both reservations. The client consulted his bank and canceled the credit card to prevent the facility from being able to charge his credit card. Client confirmed on the morning of December 27, 2019, that the facility was unable to charge said card. The client contacted Red Roof Inn Guest Relations. Guest relations indicated that the facility was unable to charge client's credit card and would attempt to do so again. Guest Relations confirmed that the client was in no way at fault for what transpired and that the facility was in clear violation of Red Roof Inn Policies. Only AFTER Red Roof Inn Guest Relations Department was contacted did the owner of the facilty reach out to the client and attempt to apologize for the adverse events by electronic mail. The owner also attempted to contact the client by telephone from an unlisted number to state that he was not going to charge client's credit card. The client strongly suspects that the facilty would have continued to charge his credit card had Red Roof Inn Corporate not become involved. This facility fails to follow National Red Roof Inn Policies and Procedures and to fraudulently entrap unsuspecting clients into paying fees that ***** would have no way of knowing about. The facility clearly has no interest in following established Red Roof Inn Policies and Procedures and this complaint is being filed to warn other potential victims of their fraudulent activity. This facililty should either follow established National Red Roof Inn Policies and procedures or become an independent, private hotel. The facility is not worthy of the Red Roof Inn name.

Our group had several rooms, ALL of which REEKED of cigarette smoke so bad that now all my stuff, luggage, clothes etc has to be dry-cleaned, or aired out. I've had a constant cough since leaving. We tried switching hotels but there were none available the night we left. It's the only place I've had a shower and still felt dirty afterwards. Don't let the colourful photos here mislead you. This place is a dump. Security at this hotel is a concern as well. People gathered outside on the walkway at all hours of the night. Some smoking drugs and talking in front of your room.. My door looks like its been broken in several times in the past, the deadbolts repositioned several times, and even the taxi driver that took us to the airport said that all kinds of "sketchy" things happen there such as drug deals and prostitution. (She was surprised that we'd actually stayed there) You'll read responses here from the Hotel that they are working to make things better etc, don't believe it. Spend the extra $ and stay somewhere else.

The room wasnt cleaned.. the NON-SMOKING room smelled like cigarettes.. Burn holes in the blanets.. The shower head was super loose.. I dont even think they had housekeepers since the same woman at the desk is who brought up extra towels.. Pretty sure there are people who live at this hotel and there was constant traffic in and out of some rooms.. The lady at the front desk was hard to understand and got rude when I asked her to repeat herself.. I'll never stay at a RedRoof Inn again.

We stayed because pet stays free while vising Cincinnati over July 4 weekend. Most hotels in Cincinnati charges $75 a night for a pet on top of the human room rate. It's only 11M drive to Cincinnati, and we didn't have problem finding a street parking in Cincinnati. It's just off I-71/75 to Cincinnati, and lots of restaurants in Florence in a few min. We had to book a smoking room as non-smoking room wasn't available at hotels.com. The room looked recently remodeled. Clean bedding, hardwood floor, tiles, large sink counter top outside the bathroom, new toilet/bath tub, nice size room, and working AC. We didn't have other guests on both sides, so we didn't have any noises. Cigarette ashes in the bath room when we checked in. The bedding wasn't changed during our 3-day stay. No coffee maker in the room, but you can get coffee/tea in the office. The office is closed early morning, so you need to have someone in the office to open the office. Overall, it's a good deal for a comfortable room.
