Everything was good but the smell of cigarette smoke

We stayed for 3 nights here. It has truck parking so we could park our 18 wheeler alright. The room was decent and clean, but the smell was annoying though it's non-smoking room. The facilites were good and all worked well. I liked the good internet connection. The staff was helpful too. I hope they find out a way to remove the smell...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room smelled of smoke, but other than that, it was ok. Neither I nor my wife smoke. They offered to switch rooms to an upstairs level, but we had just gotten all of our belongings into the room. We ended up just air freshening the room ourselves. The beds were clean and comfy, although the pillows could have been way better. Overall, we couldn't beat the price we paid for the room.

I requested a non smoking room. When I got to the room it smelt like a smoking room. There was cigarette ashes all over the place. Crumbs and dirt all over the floors. The dresser was filthy. There was a used bar of soap on the tub, covered in hair. When I spoke to the front desk lady, she was hateful and blamed me for the room being dirty. I asked to changed, she gave me a new room key and told me to check out this room and see if it was up to my standard. It smelt just as bad. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times prior in the last 8 mos and never had this issue. This trip was the worst experience, it was a miserable stay.

You'd be better off paying a little more to stay across the street. If I could give zero stars, I would. I got up to the room and checked it for the usual bugs and cleanliness. While there were no bugs from what I saw, the room was disgusting. Crumbs all over the place, peoples hair all over the sheets. The bed sheets were on INSIDE OUT. I pulled the bed forward to check for bugs there and was met with copious amounts of hair, dust, and crumbs. There was mold/mildew of some sort around the shower drain. The entire place smells like thick air freshener to cover up the stench of dirt. The room wasn't even the worst part! When asking for a refund, I was accused of lying about the condition of the room! I was told by the manager that it basically wasn't his problem and he would not refund me for any part of my stay. Disgusting rooms, even worse customer service.

Ended up not even staying the night! The room was stagnant and dirty!

My husband and I were on our way to Tennessee and had made this our halfway point hotel to stay for the night. We read that it had average reviews and we figured for one night and for the cost that it couldn't be too bad so we reserved it. To start off, just know we are not that picky about our hotels we stay at, all we ask is that it is clean and that the hotel has some pride in the rooms they serve. We arrived late in the evening of Oct 27 and as we were checking in, another customer came into the lobby complaining about receiving a call he just received on his room phone claiming that it was the hotel and asking for his information to verify his stay. According to the hotel staff, they keep getting calls to the rooms from some "unknown source" that are asking the tenants to provide their credit card information over the phone to verify their stay or something like that. They even had a small sign posted at the front desk warning the people who were staying there about it and to not give out their information. (At least they had that). Well, that was our first impression of the hotel. This is going to be great! (total sarcasm). With curiosity biting at us as to what the room was going to be like after our front desk experience, we collected our ONE room key. Yes, they only gave us ONE room key for two people because that makes sense, right? We gathered a few items from the car and went to find the room, which was on the first floor. Opened the door and the room had a very strong, nasty, and musty/mildew smell to it. Then, the smoke detector kept beeping like it had a low battery, but it was plugged into the wall...Let's recap so far - 1. Spam room calls phishing for private information, 2. Very fowl smelling room 3. Constantly beeping, plugged-in smoke detector. Now for the room inspection. It was veryyyy dirty! I know it is a "budget" hotel, but come on...It looked like the room had not been cleaned nor stayed in for months. There was large cob webs in the bathroom from the corner of the wall that attached to the toilet and then more webs from the corner that attached to the one, dirty chair that sat next to the bed. These webs were very obvious. I am not sure how any cleaner did not see these. Seriously?? Gross. The floors had human hairs all over them and the linoleum over all just looked filthy and felt tacky. I would not recommend anyone to walk on it barefoot. There was a dark, little piece of carpet that the bed sat on that reached out far enough for your feet to touch when getting in and out of bed. I don't even want to know what was on that. After discovering the uncleanliness of the room, we definitely inspected the bed very well. We pulled all the blankets/sheets/pillows off and inspected the headliner and mattress for bugs, hairs, etc. There was a weird, brownish, I am not sure what, 5 inches+ stain on the mattress under the sheets in the center of the bed...*gag*. At that point, I just about had enough so we pulled the sheets back to put on the bed and then found a tiny somewhat translucent bug on the bed (between the sheets) crawling around. It was a larvae of some sort and I didn't even care what at that point because we were done with the room! I regret not taking photos, but we didn't want to be in the room any longer than we had to in fear of contaminating our luggage with whatever may be lurking in that room. I am not even sure about the amenities like the TV and microwave because we were not there long enough to even look! We went to the front desk, got a return for our stay after telling them our discoveries, which they seemed very puzzled about and went to the much cleaner, beautiful Country Inn hotel across the street for $10 more - well worth the switch.
