Excellent again!
I've been staying at the Red Roof Inn, Lexington North for about 20 years. I'm always satisfied with the service I receive. I can always count on Kim to be sure I get what I'm looking for when I stay there. We've come to know one another over the years, so Kim knows what's important to me and always does her best to see that I get just that. Many of the staff members have been there for a very long time and they're always diligent about the level of service they provide. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting the Lexington area.
Angel under the Red Roof Inn on Haggard Court
In June of 2017 my granddaughter was born. She had to be immediately rushed to University of Kentucky Children's Hospital where she would spend the next six weeks. My family was thrown upside down! We traveled the nearly three hours from home to be with her only to find that with three events in town there were no rooms to be found. We stopped at Red Roof Inn on Haggard Court and found an angel. Our angel's name is Kim. Kim was booked but after hearing about our baby she called other hotels along the interstate to no avail. She told me her cancellation time and ask that I call back later that evening. I left, wondering what we were going to do. Buckling my seat belt I saw Kim run out the door with her hand held high signalling us to wait. She'd had a cancellation just as I left the lobby. She was able to get us into rooms that night! During our stay, we were never bothered by noise or other guests and a security presence was comforting. We stayed on Haggard Court until our baby came home. I would highly recommend Red Roof Inn on Haggard Court. *** Kim will always be Tiger's angel.***
Underwhelmed
Stayed here for a quick overnight get away. The decor was updated however, the first room we were in had hair all over the bed as well as cigarette burn holes in the sheets. The second room also had cigarette burn holes in the sheets and the floors had not been swept in quiet a while. The mattresses were HORRIBLE as they were extremely hard and not comfortable at all as were the pillows. Air Conditioner got cold but barely blew out at all. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.
Beware the Red Roach Inn
We got in late at night and crashed. While the a/c was a bit loud, we were so tired it didn't matter. In the morning, we discovered we were sharing the room with a collection of roaches. Most, but not all, were dead. We immediately exited the property. On a positive note, the woman at check-in was very nice and got us checked in very efficiently. Doesn't make up for the roach party, though.
Worst hotel experience ever
We travel a lot for horse shows and dance. We stay in a wide variety of hotels based on price and location. I wish I would have taken a photo because my experience seems a little unbelievable. The front desk was kind at check in. As soon as we entered the room there were at least 20 visible bugs on the floor of our room. Some bugs had been squashed, others moving, and most were dead on their backs. It was absolutely disgusting and difficult to comprehend how this could happen. We did not set one thing down in that room and immediately returned to the front desk. She was the only one working that day and was unable to leave the front desk to look at the room. She suggested trying another room in the hotel. I told her I was not comfortable staying anywhere on the property. Without hesitation she cancelled our room reservations. I would never recommend this property to anyone.
