Craig thank you for your kindness
October 30, 2018

Craig was very knowledgeable & remembered our convos each time I ran into him. Fixed TV as app as I mentioned no1 showed up to fix nightbefore. People return to hotels for people & how it made them feel. And I gotta say Craig was nice. Rest of staff as timely and prompt to clean rooms. Room itself was mediocre. Maybe a cigarette burn on comforter but I didn’t use it.

Friendly Staff, Disgusting Room

My husband and I are pretty laid back and not super critical of places but this Red Roof Inn was just gross and in terrible condition. We usually read reviews and if they seem like a mixed bag we try to give a place the benefit of the doubt but this place was just bad. The room we were assigned to had parts of the ceiling crumbling off, paint peeling, gross pillow cases, a blood looking substance on the wall and bathroom door, and the toilet seat had like dried pee on it so it clearly wasn’t cleaned, the night stand had something sticky on it, and it did reek of smoke. We were really tired and didn’t have to money to go somewhere else. Luckily I had Clorox wipes in my purse and we wiped things down. My husband went down and asked for new pillow cases and the man in the office said he would bring some up and after a half hour of waiting we went back down and finally got some. The man that checked us in was very nice and professional but the room was so terrible that we would never stay here again. This is probably the 2nd worse hotel I have ever stayed in and the 1st was in Meridian, Mississippi. Seriously don’t waste the money at this place even just to sleep. One petty complaint is that there was no hair dryer. What hotel in 2018 doesn’t have hair dryers in the room?!?!

Very impressed

Reading through the "bad" reviews, I can understand some issues. My room was facing the road. I walked in and the air was on, it was a bit chilly. Turned it down to a comfortable level. There was no smell, water was good both in the sink and shower. Sheets were clean as well as the rest of the room. Only issue I had was when I woke up someone must have changed 2 tires and left them in the middle of parking lot! I can see where some people would be intimidated by this, but I found it humorous. Craig apologized for it, but I told him it wasn't his fault. It doesn't matter if you're at the Ritz, you'll find all walks of life everywhere. The 75 dollar bill was well worth it for a comfortable place to sleep, as well as wifi, TV, coffee maker (hot water), fridge, nice large desk work area with a nice chair. Sitting chair near the window. Large dresser, Ironing table, blah, blah blah. I checked in with a lovely Red Roof associate named Ashley, and was greeted at the desk in the morning by Craig. Both very friendly and professional. Will chose this place again if I'm ever out that way again!

The room was decent but that was about it. When we checked in I found broken glass on the handicap parking spot in front of the office. The clerk was very nice and said he would clean it up. He was the best part of the stay, very friendly and nice. The back steps and area to our second floor room were filthy. When we returned after dinner there were people camped out behind the utility boxes in back. I heard people walking outside our room at all hours of the night. I actually put a chair and my suitcase in front of the door, have never done this before. Red Roof is on my don’t ever go there again list!!

Stayed 1 night on our way west, was clean, quiet, beds a little soft, minimal towels (2 bath?), water saving shower feature really sucked but they all do that now except for the independents. Was very okay for $70, the food service places near by not very good (Denny’s was chaos) very limited staff, dirty tables all over the place) we left.
