They can’t be bothered to answer a simple question
March 13, 2019

I’ve been trying to call this hotel directly, 5 times in the last 30 minutes. The first few times I could hear someone pick up the phone and immediately hang it up. The last time I called after 2 rings I would be circled back to their automated system where I’d have to choose 5 again to get someone at the desk, this circle went on 6 times before I finally gave up. I simply wanted to ask the differences in room amenities and if each room had a mini fridge. Will stay elsewhere.

Christmas Getaway
January 17, 2019

Decided to do a quick trip to the Asheville and surrounding area. Because it was Christmas week and our furbaby was coming along, I can not tell you how long I looked for a hotel with a reasonable pet fee. And Free pet fee was it!!!! One of the main reasons I love red roof is a quaint hotel off the highway. We arrived in the evening exhausted from all the driving, and there was a friendly face at the re reception desk, which is always nice :) The room was clean, the beds were comfy, could not ask for more. This is a no frills hotel that fit what we were looking for in a 2 night stay.

Good Service, Bad Clientile
January 06, 2019

My wife and I booked two nights coming into town to finally see the Biltmore after two failed attempts (due to the kennels on the estate being bad for small dogs in July due to the way they are/hot weather and the tours being booked up before Christmas) because it was the best price (even though a fridge and microwave weren’t included), available, non-smoking, somewhat near the Biltmore and would take in our small five pound dog at no cost. Upon arriving it was a full parking lot with cars and a few big rig trucks. The hostess or attendant was extremely nice and helpful. One of the most helpful and customer service friendly I’ve encountered. I thought this is great! We got to the room and immediately noticed a chemical smell from the cleaning products used, it was really strong, but the room was somehwhat clean. The floors are laminent or fake wood with a couple multi-purpose rugs laid down under the beds which makes sense due to it being a pet feiendly hotel. My wife and I were somewhat worried about the chemical smell though because she is pregnant. I was so tired that all I wanted to do get some sleep. We noticed a strange van with two younger kids driving around and getting out and talking to another guy in an 80’s gunboat car. They left or movies the van, we noticed this while going into or room on the second floor. We also noticed before or after checking in a scary young guy with a ball cap hugging a young girl outside a room on the first floor a couple doors down from the main office. He was smoking and waking around outside. Well, I was tired and my wife needed one last thing out of our car so I let her get it after we got to our room. She returned terrified because the young guy with the hat was trying to pick her up and when she ran she said he started yelling the F word at her. I think he was a pimp. My wife also noticed a guy in the first room on the first floor near the lobby look out suspiciously, probably due to drugs but I have no proof other than how it all seemed. Or hostess was outstanding but because it’s cheaper to stay here please be careful. On one of our attempts to see the Biltmore, we did stop by this hotel and it didn’t look bad, there weren’t many cars, but maybe it was a busy night with the wrong kind of clientele. As a solution, I recommend are Res Roof chain hire a cop on busy nights or remodel or sell their hotel making it a Red Roof Plus and upgrading everything and caharging slightly higher prices. After all, the Vanderbilt’s have the Biltmore nearby.

Pet Friendly and People Friendly

Very welcoming front desk staff. We often travel with our four pawed family member. Its great to have a Red Roof Inn to rest and relax in during our road trips. Booked our room on line minutes prior to arrival, no problems , no hassles. Close to fast food restaurant . Don't miss your turnoff road when Approaching the Inn.

3 stars for renovations

Ok, first of all I have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn because they never had a good reputation; however, this one was renovated. The room was nicely renovated; however, the bed is very uncomfortable.
