Great Customer Service

I have been coming to this particular Red Roof for the past five months, and every week I receive great customer service. The front desk is very professional and courteous, and they make sure they go out of their way to help me with my needs. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, and I plan to come to this hotel anytime I am in the Cleveland area, for recreation or business. I would like to thank in particular, Cindy, Keith, and David. Every week they are focused on making sure that I am comfortable when checking in and out of my room, which is something that I need from a long day of work. I hope the staff is blessed and thank you again, Charles

Very comfortable; roomy; full of useful facilities; I even extended my stay as a result. I was very well-self-contained and the Wifi was very reliable. Natalie at Reception was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Another exceptional stay!

This was the first Red Roof Inn I ever stayed at in 2004 and remains one of my favorites. This stay was made even more enjoyable by Natalie at the front desk. Her personal touch and warm personality added to this experience. The hotel is conveniently located just off I 77 making it very easy to access. Set on a hill the grounds are pleasant and there is a nice view. Exterior entrances make it easy to unload and load the car. There are several places to eat within walking distance so you never have to get back in the car once you've checked in. I seem to wind up with one of the bigger rooms which is a bonus, though all the rooms are clean and well maintained. Most importantly they take both Cats!!

I handle regional accounts for my employer of 16 years and this is the best Red Roof Inn that i have ever stayed in. Front Desk (David) and the Manager go above and beyond to accommodate any of your needs. Comfortable stay every single time!!!

Budget Stay - Not Bad for the Price
review-img-alt
November 25, 2018

Let's focus on the positives. It's a great budget price, and best of all, they do not charge a rate for having your dog with you. They got my business solely on that, because I feel that other hotels charging a nightly fee for dogs is highway robbery. So kudos to Red Roof Inn for being VERY dog friendly and wallet-friendly! Traveling with a dog, it was also great that they have a big grassy area with a bag dispenser and trash can, so it was very convenient to do dog business. As others have said, it's got lots of parking, so you can literally park your car outside your room to keep an eye on it. I'm not a fan of the "motel" feel where your room's door leads directly outside, but for loading and unloading the car, it really is nice. I will say that the feel you get from the hotel's photos of the rooms isn't exactly as sparkling brand new as you feel when you walk in the door. It's not bad, but there was a weird feel that I can't put a finger on. I think it may have been the poor lighting making it feel dingy rather than comfortable. Also with laminate floor and very little carpeting, you really notice any dirt at all - I wore my socks the entire time because it just felt like there was no way I could go barefoot without feeling super gross. I kept having that feeling of stepping on little pieces of dirt in my socks. I usually go on a cleaning bonanza every time I go into a hotel room, and for good reason. I used a wipe on the remote and got tons of gunk off (pretty typical) and ditto for the light switches (also typical). I was surprised, though, that the table between our beds was very dirty when I wiped it down. That's gross, thinking of what people may have set there, and then you set your phone and stuff there. Blech. The sink, toilet, and tub were in visually nice condition though, so that was a big plus. I always check the mattresses for creepy crawlies, and am pleased to say that these mattresses were great and very new - kudos! They actually were quite nice to sleep on as well. I feel like I got good rest. It helped that the heater worked very well, so we were nice and toasty! The only negatives I would really list for improvement besides a little extra cleaning is that the room had no tissues at all - never had that happen before in a hotel. Also, the water gets EXTREMELY hot, so if you have young kids be very careful. (Great water pressure, though, and plenty of hot water for showering. And no weird water smells.) In terms of staff, the man who checked us in was NOT friendly. Not personable at all, and impatient with us. We checked in late, so the main lobby door was locked and the farthest we could go was just in the little pre-lobby area where you no joke have to put your ID in a little tray that they pull in. And then they put the paperwork in the tray and push it back out to you, like a bank teller. It's behind glass like you're in the ghetto - really strange especially because Independence is a nice area. It started our stay on a bit of an unsettling note, I would say, but it is what it is. I found a gross spot on my comforter when we walked in, and I would've liked to have asked for a new one, but with that man at front desk I felt like he would've been mad. So I just pushed it off and thankfully had a blanket I brought from home. The woman who checked us out was much nicer, I'm happy to say. Definitely the type of person you want in that role. I wish she would've been there when we checked in! All in all, for what we paid and for having a dog with us, it was worth the money and very convenient for our purpose. We needed a place to stay to be home for Thanksgiving, and this fit the bill nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to book again the next time we're in town and need a place to sleep.
