TripAdvisor Ratings

Wreaked of pot

We chose this hotel because there were very few vacancies, and it was rated fairly well. The red flag went up as soon as we got on the elevator. The inside of the elevator was in pretty rough condition, and when the doors opened on the second floor, we were met with the overwhelming smell of marijuana smoke. The entire hallway wreaked of it, and our room wasn't much better. We decided to try and find a different hotel, but to our dismay, everything in the area was sold out. After doing some research, we found out that the Clark County government is paying hotels to house the homeless. I couldn't believe there could be enough homeless in the area to fill up the four hotels I checked. One hotel told me that their entire building was booked solid until the end of July, and this was in a highly rated chain hotel. I was shocked. When we couldn't find another room, we asked if there were any more rooms available in the Red Roof, and were told they were sold out as well. We complained of the smell, and someone from the staff did come up and spray something in the hall and room that made it bearable for the night. We will not be staying in this particular location again.

Huge Disappointment

What the hotel fails to tell you is that yes, the pool is open, but only four people are allowed in the pool area at one time and you only have 1/2 hour to swim. They also don’t let you know about the residents who live in the hotel who have barking dogs and fight in the halls at 2am. Definitely not a place to bring a family.

Needs Management Attention

I am writing this review in hopes that management takes notice. See my review of this Springfield Ohio RRI from October 2019 for a comparison of experiences. I have four requests of you before my next visit: (1) Figure out how to fix the $%*#$ toilets. A ready-to-loan plunger at the front desk is a symptom of the problem. We needed to borrow it three times. Staff told us we were not alone - the toilets are "just old." Yuk. (2) For some reason, this inn attracts more than its fair share of smokers - Please pay someone to patrol the grounds to clean up after these slobs. (3) Ask staff to take their smoke breaks somewhere other than outside the front entrance. (4) I assume that the two ladies we observed supervising the three children playing INSIDE the dumpster around noon was an anomaly, but not a great impression for an arriving guest. Never saw anything like that before. If it is a recurring event, consider locking the dumpster gate.

The staff acted like I was bothering them. There was long hairs in the microwave. And the front desk clerk was very rude. There was no breakfast and no pool use. I was highly disappointed for being my first time there. I thought this was a higher end hotel.

Nice hotel with great staff

We arrived for a weekend getaway and had no problems checking in. The hotel was clean and has a heated indoor pool. We did have a small issue with some loud teens in the room next to us but management handled it and moved us to another room. Would stay there again.
