Extremely Helpful
August 29, 2017

Began with Bridget helping one of our truck drivers with a room for a night needed while he waited for his truck to be repaired. Coordinating payment from our office to take care of the driver can be tricky. There was a glitch on our side, but I called in the next day and Kathy was extremely helpful on getting everything squared away. Will definitely have me looking for Red Roof when I have other drivers needing a room for the night! Thank you.

Good news: Pet friendly and close to freeway........after that it is only acceptable. Price point higher than it should be for the age and location. Not much effort to keep rooms current other than clean. Would not suggest the than for passing through. Nothing in area to keep you past one night.

Great Stay

As always had a nice night here. Always great to find a good hotel that is pet-friendly! close to everything and many places to eat near by. Plenty of grass for dogs to do their business. Quick on and off of the interstate.

Room 229

My husband & I stayed here for 1 night with our Boston Terrier. The Good: Pet friendly with no pet fee! The staff were very friendly & they have a nice size parking area which was great because we were pulling a horse trailer & was easy parking! The Bad: Their sign said 'recently renovated rooms' but our room definitely was not!! The room was very dated, felt dirty & smelled bad. The carpet was dirty & my socks got filthy just from walking to the bathroom & back to the bedroom area. The bed was terribly uncomfortable & the pillows were awful, if you are going to stay here for more than 1 night I would suggest bringing your own pillow! The bathroom was so small you could barely turn around in it & the shower looked dingy, not cleaned very well. It also didn't have anything to set shampoo or soap in, so I had to set them in the bottom of shower. I do not think I would stay here again!

July 12, 2017

On July 12, 2017, I made a reservation through Expedia to stay at the Red Roof Inn at 309 S. Meridian in Oklahoma City, OK. I had stayed here one night last week and was treated well, so I thought I would stay again. I THOUGHT that I had reserved a non-smoking first floor room. I arrived at approximately 6PM on July 12 and told the desk clerk, "Tiffany" who I was and gave her my ID. She proceeded to assign me to a second floor smoking room. I stated that I needed a first floor room, as I have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and struggle with luggage and stairs. Tiffany stated that she "could not" make any changes and I would have to call Expedia. I explained to her that another clerk had made a similar change for me last week (a very nice tall skinny man). She regarded me as though I were lying. Tiffany then proceeded to call the (alleged) manager named "Karen". Tiffany and Karen spoke for a few minutes and Tiffany told her that I insisted upon a non-smoking room. At this point, I stated that the issue was not about smoking or non-smoking (I don't smoke and I am alone, so there would be no smoking). The issue was about first floor accommodations due my COPD disability. Tiffany told me to talk to Karen, so I got on the phone with her and explained the situation. Karen went off on a tangent about there not being any non-smoking second floor rooms. At this, I cried out "Jesus Christ! That is not the issue!!" I admit this was wrong of me. I am hot, tired, sweaty, I have just driven 500 miles, and I am now being treated like trash by a clerk and an alleged manager, neither of whom have any positive customer service skills. Karen stated that there are no single rooms on the first floor, that they are all doubles. I know this isn't true, as I stayed in a single first floor room on the evening of July 6. Karen then asked me what Tiffany had told me about the rooms and I stated that I did not receive an specific answer. Karen then asked to speak to Tiffany again. They conversed for a few more minutes. Tiffany then hung up and with a twinkle in her eye and a haughty facial expression, she stated that I could either take the second floor room or take it up with Expedia about getting my money back. She was smiling and I believe that she was enjoying the altercation with me and her perceived power. I took the room because I am (as I stated earlier): hot, tired, sweaty, I have just driven 500 miles, and I am now being treated like trash by a clerk and an alleged manager, neither of whom have any positive customer service skills. Tiffany ignored my questions (Where was the room? What was her last name?). She did not give me a map or directions to the the location or to the stairs. She also did not provide me with a receipt. It took me nearly a half hour to get my luggage and necessities up the stairs with my shortness of breath and breathing issues. The room smells like old stale cigarettes. There are dust balls hanging from the ceiling. This experience has been just awful.
