RED RUDE INN
I checked in late afternoon for a two day stay. The woman at the deal was very pleasant and personable, but apparently lacked the requisite training-- as i was TOLD by Erin two days later when I went to the desk to 1. Ask why noone had responded to my in-house voicemail asking for attention to the problem of bugs flying around the room- I slayed hundreds and they kept coming in through the drain in my sink. ERIN said loudly'THATS NOT MY FAULT!' Me: 'who's responsibility is listening to hotel voicemails from your guests?' ERIN:"The Managers. We don't even have a phone at front desk so obviously you are talking to the wrong person." Next i said i need to stay an additional night and would she be the appropriate person to take my payment?" ERIN "Well, it's Thursday and your room is now VERY EXPENSIVE "ME: "i asked if you could take payment. CN you do that? ERIN "Well YOU NEED TO KNOW ITS a hundred and seventy four dollars' (as though she's positive i cant swong the bill- her tone was incredibly insulting as well as hostile and sarcastic) I janded her 2 hundred and asked if I could have 2 new towels. Apparently the towels were nust too much for Erin to endure "YOU WERE TOLD AT CHECK IN TO GIVE YOIR OLD TOWELS TO MAIDS' Me: 'Bo, that wasn't mentioned. ERIN: YES IT WAS" ME: "were you there? Are you positive tue desk clerk advised me of the facilities limited capacity for hospitality?' ERIN: WHAT DO YOU WANT? Me 'O wantbthe bugs in my room exterminated, inwant 2 towels, i want my change and i want you to hush ip your smart alec moutu and do yoir job' ERIN: YOU DONT TELL ME TO HUSH YOU DONT TELL ME --IM IN CHARGE AND INTELL YOU AND GUESS WHAT? HERE IS ALL YOUR MONEY THERE IS NO EAY OM EXTENDING YOUR STAY HERE YOU HAVE TO LEAVE" I couldn't leave fast enough. Also, the physical plant is dilapidated. Stairwells are taped off like a crime scene- soda machines were empty as was ice. I paid 298 (i think) for 2 nights and I hve to say, I wouldn't stay there again if it were free. It was absolutely traumatic and so shocking that this notel represents, at least in part, the decay of professionalism in the Islanders hospitality industry
