Rude New Management!
I guess this place has new management. When we’ve stayed here in the past, the staff was friendly and welcoming. This time they were rude and dismissive. The young man at the front desk was as unfriendly as could be. He acted like I was bothering him and took FOREVER to give me a room. He told me he couldn’t process my American Express Card, even though I had used it to make my reservation. (My guess is they don’t want to pay AMEX fees, so they tell you it won’t go through.) Their digital sign on the Main Street in front of the hotel clearly says, “Free Hot Breakfast.” It was obvious that there wasn’t any breakfast because the lobby was locked up tight with Covid warning signs plastered all over it. So, I called in the morning to ask what time breakfast was, and the guy said,”There isn’t any breakfast.” I mentioned the sign, and he flatly said, “Sorry about that.” The room was okay, but the rudeness of the staff made me not want to stay there again. If you don’t want to be at least cordial to your guests, maybe you shouldn’t be in the hospitality business!
