Not great
September 18, 2017

I did not enjoy staying here... The staff was nice and I loved the girl who worked the night shift... didnt get her name but she was a sweetheart and went out of her way for me... but besides that the rooms were dirty... On the surface they look clean but when you really get to looking there was hair everywhere and dust all over everything, stains on the bed and the showers are dirty and it had a smell of mold or mildew... The hallways were dirty and even the elevators were dirty and weirdly very hot... The breakfast was sub par and the guy who runs it wouldn't leave me alone and then had the audacity to mention that "tips are appreciated"... for what? Talking my head off while I tried to eat?... Yeah right... Dogs barking and drunk people in the rooms next to me who stayed up all night... The lady who checked me out was friendly so I guess the only thing this hotel has going for it is the front desk staff... Fix everything else and maybe people will want to stay here...

Ok but could use improvement

My family and I stayed here on the 16th of September and I did enjoy it for the most part. The hotel staff was very kind and courteous, especially miss Ashley and miss Megan. The breakfast was good (surprised that it even had one because most red roofs don't offer free breakfast) although the breakfast host decided to impose himself on our table and after we left he asked for a tip which I thought was incredibly rude. The rooms were ok, a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. All in all it was a decent hotel stay and I would probably recommend staying here if you are looking for a budget hotel. One of the nicer Red Roofs I have stayed at.

We had to evacuate from our Florida home due to Hurricane Irma, and we were grateful to find a pet-friendly hotel that had vacancies. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the price was reasonable. But overall, the hotel is badly in need of a cash influx for improvements and repairs. The worst part was the bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was as hard as the floor, but even worse - you could feel the individual coils and springs. It was like sleeping on a box springs. I know mattresses are expensive, but listen - there are foam mattress pads you can buy for under $100 over at the Walmart. Maybe even that wouldn't have helped, though. The other serious problem was floors. The rooms have laminate floors, which is a good thing for a pet-friendly motel. However, it was not clean. After just a few minutes of walking barefoot, the bottom of our feet were black. I finally got one of the towels wet, got down on my hands and knees, and scrubbed the floor. Listen, anybody can tell you that vacuuming and sweeping isn't enough for hard floors. They need to be damp mopped. Invest in those mops with removable terry cloth pads. The pads are machine washable and they do a great job. Plusses + Pet friendly, no extra charge + Friendly staff + Located near restaurants, stores, basically anything you need + Rooms are fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, etc. + Shower has good pressure + Breakfast buffet is typical Minuses - Hard as rock beds - Only one chair per room, so if two people are sharing the room, one person has to sit o on the hard-as-rock bed - Wifi is free but inadequate. Pages load like dial-up speed - Rooms, especially floors, are not well cleaned - Some guests with dogs don't pick up after them. The hotel needs to post signs and make bags available.

Too many things were wrong

Before arriving we called to see if there was early checking. No answer to the first 3 calls. While staying there we saw that the front desk help was smoking on a bench outside the door most of the day. The first room we had was a painfully hard bed, like no springs. The door would not lock when we checked in. The room smelled like some overwhelming floral spray. The floors were sticky with possible residue from this spray. Being barefoot was disgusting. The second day we moved to a different room. This front desk person was very very helpful. he let us check a couple of rooms. One had such loud air it sounded like it was going to explode. We got a different room with a more reasonable bed. Floral smell was strong and floors sticky. For a king room made for 2 people, there is only 1 desk chair so the second person has to sit on the bed. We tried breakfast one day. No forks (waiting for the truck) and pretty nasty food compared to other hotels with just the basic eggs/gravy/sausage. We stayed here because of credit card points but honestly I wish I had just paid for a room at a better place.

No alarm clock needed!
August 20, 2017

So I stay at red roofs all the time, but this red roof was something real special. Around 830am the fire alarm went off. Mind you I'm staying with my 3 month old daughter. She wakes up screaming bc the noise is so loud. So I rush to get outside to find out some kid pulled it. Well within the next hour the alarm went off 2 more times. So that's 3 fire alarms within an hour. At this point I'm so frustrated I decided to check out. Will not return to this hotel!
