Good motel for the price

I was in this Red Roof Inn for 3 nights. The front desk counter person was very helpful. They offered food and drinks for purchase via vending machines. The room was very clean the shower had fantastic water pressure which you don't always get. The toilet had issues though, it needed a new float and was not replaced while I was there so it ran off and on. The desk didn't have a chair to sit on while I did some work. The bed was big and comfy with plenty of pillows. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Didn't have a coffee pot, iron, chair. Thus the 3 star rating. The motel is pet friendly. And never smelled anything unpleasant or see anything for that matter. I would be willing to stay there again.

So so disappointing

We are now spending our last night (of 7) in this place. First day, we paid a maid well to at least clean the floors and spray for odors. Hardwood floors that were so dirty, we slipped getting into the shower because of all the filth on the floor. We went to a store and bought a can of Fabreze to help eith the heavy (urine??) smell. We left a good tip the next day for sub-standard cleaning. (Left no extra t. Tissue so we had to go to desk and get some) Left no tip after that, and room has only been ckeaned once since then and that was just pulling the sheets and bedspread up, and 2 clean towels. Tonight upon returning, we again had to go get our own supplies. The desk says its not their fault because they're down to 3 maids. But it's not our fault either, we expected and paid for basics, we knew it was a "2 star" hotel, no breakfast, no coffee in room, but we expected and paid for basics. Toilet paper, soap, clean towels. The worst is the nasty floor. We don't have a pet, but the smell, even after 7 days, is still here, we can't take our shoes off because of the dirty floor. Oh, I forgot to add the leaking toiket, the black mold. Why did we stay? It had been paid for prior to our arrival and was very close to our family we came to see. Spend the extra, stay away from here.

Place is a dump!

Henri is stellar! Wish the best for this young man. The facility is horrible. After numerous stays, the last two have been doozies. Time before last a few weeks ago, left sawdust and debris on the inside and outside of room after the installation of new locks on doors. This was during check in, after settling in and AFTER check out. The debris and sawdust including hardware boxes were still as they were during arrival. Unreal. Cigarette smoke is almost unbearable and the so called laundry is a joke with a makeshift array of machines that may or may not be working at any given time. The list is long..stay away.

Don’t stay here!

First, I’d like to say that I hardly ever leave reviews for hotels and I stay in a lot of them. I’ve only left a few very good ones in the hundreds of hotels all over the world but this particular hotel deserves a review because the public needs to know. Pros: very cheap ($48 with hotels.com), close to freeway and lots of shopping and restaurants and bed / pillow was comfortable, Cons: tv curio drawer broke- wouldn’t close, AC never got cold, sink drained slowly, door was hard to open, tv sound governor turned so low could barely hear it over loud AC, very shady characters inside and out (probably because it’s the cheapest hotel in the area). I don’t spook easily but I felt very uncomfortable all three nights. It looked like a couple drug deals going down in the parking lot, a group drinking on their tailgate, and people just sitting around in the dark. This was all three nights. -I heard a lot of noise in the halls and next door to me. It so loud that I put my pillow over my head and it didn’t help. The partying went on past 4am the first night. -on the third night there was a strong marijuana smell in room 219, which is next door to mine -I have a nonsmoking room but my comforter has about a dozen huge cigarette burns on it, sheets have what appears to be tiny blood spots on the left side(I have time stamped pictures that management will get to see), very gross -on the last night my room didn’t get cleaned. I get a knock on the door and a grade school girl (about 8yrs old) at 6:30pm is helping her mom clean rooms. The mother asked if I needed anything. The little girl hands me soap and shampoo. I don’t mind kids helping out their parents and learning skills and I hope she doesn’t get in trouble but that girl was too young and she should be doing homework. -the shower has a loose spot in the floor, feels like I will fall through, there’s also mold/ rust on the shower light fixture and in the grout. And also has a bad caulk job -ceiling about bed has been repaired, I’d assume for a water leak. Very bad tape and float job, looks like it’s still wet -I arrived early and tried to get my room early and the desk attendant was on his phone watching something with headphone in his ear. He was bothered by me asking if I can check in early and was very rude. He said he had plenty of rooms available but I had to wait a few more hours because that’s just how it works. Then he went out side and chained smoked a few cigarettes with some homeless looking guy for over 15 mins while I sat there in disbelief, then I just left to cool off when I realized he wasn’t going to give in and let me put my suitcase in my room that was ready. Usually a hotel lets you check in if the room is clean and available, it’s called good customer service because you want them to return. -and last but not least someone opened my door in the middle of the night. Thank goodness I had my security latch on. When I woke up I was surprised it was open. Especially as much time as I invested closing and locking my door. The evening before the attendant gave me a new key card because I locked mine in the room. I was shocked that he didn’t ask for my name or ID. He asked for my room number and in 3 seconds I was handed the card! All and all I was very disappointed. I know it’s cliche but you get what you pay for.

It is unfortunate

This is actually a nice inexpensive little hotel. You can see where some updates have been done and the people are so sweet including the front desk, housekeepers, and maintenance guy. There are truly "salt of the earth" kind. BUT the hotel needs to rip out the carpet in the hallway. Due to the smoking rooms and pet accommodations and the humidity the smell of awful! I bought Febreeze and sprayed the hall and it had no effect. The smell is very very strong from the laundry room right near the front desk and hallway. I hate to even say anything bad about this place but the smell is just too much.
