Gross and uncomfortable

I just checked in a few minutes ago...is it too soon to mention that I pulled the bedspread back and found what appears to be a condom wrapper? Need I say more? Ok...you need 200 characters: floor is sticky and nonsmoking room clearly was a smoking room recently.

Very dirty, in bad area! Pictures are not accurate.

We booked this room based on the Tripadvisor reviews and photos, but upon arrival, the room was filthy. Pubic hairs all over the floor, the bath mat was covered in dirt, the light in the bathroom didn't work, and the area it was in was very depressed. We asked to see another room since this one was dirty and thought we'll give another room a chance, but that one was also dirty! We have three children, so didn't want to bring them in there. We ended up staying at the Hilton Garden Inn not far away, but much much cleaner, in a better area, with free breakfast. They really need to renovate and clean up this hotel!!

Affordable, Convienent and Comfy

As normal I searched many reviews - I know that on average unhappy people review more than happy ones so I took that into account. Yes this hotel building may have been here since the 70's but things were built better then it was clean and in good shape. The furnishings are not all shiny and new or state age but they are reliable and efficient. Plenty of room, plenty of drawers, the fridge and microwave were there. Sink and clothes rack both had plenty of room, the shower had beyond hot water and great pressure. The floors were not carpeted but looked like hardwood vinyl which made it feel more upscale. The bed, wish I had more time to enjoy it. The large flat screen tv and wifi were both good for entertainment. The location was near a main thorough-fare street but not noisy and was easy to get in and out of and plenty of eating locations. The hotel area was quiet and the free breakfast was standard, nothing hot prepared but fit the need. If I had to complain because of few updates there were not many power outlets, but we always carry an extension cord and multi power strip in case things are not where we need them and one of the bedside lamps did not work when we checked in on further examination we moved things and discovered that it had been unplugged and had a cord that we had to pull along the head of the bed and plug in with the other side's lamp. No clock but we all use our phones for time most of the time, also the toilet seat was a little loose but a quick few turns on the washer on the bolt holding it fixed that. For the price of our room I was not going to complain. The staff we encountered friendly and we felt safe while there. It was less than 5 miles from the down town area by interstate or side roads so it was very convenient to the things we were there for. So for the price, the condition, location we will be back the next time we come to town

Room was filthy

This room was filthy. I'm not the type to go out of my way to complain about something. However, when an establishment like this fails to maintain basic cleanliness standards, it's basically flipping their patrons the bird.

Bad internet, bad customer service

The wifi didn’t work. I called and was told that it would be reset. When I said “the internet isn’t working” he said “I know” like I was inconveniencing him. Despite telling me that it would be reset, when I called back and hour later, he said that he had been “busy with guests” but would reset it “right now”. I’m not sure why all of those other guests took priority over me, especially since it only takes 30 seconds to reset a modem and because I’m sure that I wasn’t the only one trying to use the internet. Again, his tone wasn’t especially pleasant and he acted like I was inconveniencing him. No, actually you are the one who is inconveniencing me by not being on top of this problem. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.
