It is located just off the interstate, easy to get too, but far enough to be quiet.Every one on the staff was friendly & helpful. We requested a Handicap room. It was clean & comfortable, only minor drawback is one very small shelf in bathroom. Room had plenty of electrical outlets. Has a nice large pool. Breakfast is typical restaurant which is ok, but if you want more there is a Waffle House right at the end of the Hotel. Not a new Hotel, but well maintained & reasonably priced.Enjoyed the stay.

Nothing fancy

Red Roof doesn't try to be the best but this one needs some work. It's dated and noisy. Gap under the door and thin walls (I heard everything that guy said in the phone in the next room). Also loud AC and even louder fan in the bath. Usually leave a light on for the little one if she goes in the night only the fan didn't kick in and an hour later decided to start up. What a racket. Pipes had air in them which sputtered and shook, and the tub faucet passed a big black gob of water before my shower in the morning. Maybe they had been working on the pipes? Also had a noise periodically in the night like someone was pinging on the pipes. Also the breakfast is only cold, but there is a place next door. Parking is free, it's mostly clean, but I wonder about the AC in the halls. Is it really that damp? Unfortunately everything else nearby is very expensive. Parking on site and free. Highway nearby means easy to get to (interchange under construction at the time of writing this review) but also some background noise. This can work for a stopover but like I said, needs some work. Did have an issue with the plug. When I pulled out the charger the whole thing came out of the wall. Just a little bit of a hazard.

Nice room and pet friendly staff
March 30, 2018

I was traveling with four dogs...not small dogs, but medium (55-75 pounds) - yes, I did say four pretty big dogs. If you are sitting their with you mouth open and shaking your head, I understand. I help with different rescue groups, so I usually have a couple more than the norm! This trip was just to go see family. Please know they are housebroken and seasoned travelers. When I need to stay at hotels it can get pricey; or I can't stay because pets aren't allowed or I have more than two dogs or they are over 15 pounds. So when I find hotels that allow my pets and the price doesn't add another $75 to the room rate, I then wonder if its safe or if I will get put in a 'dog room', because of others pet owners that have kind of ruined it for those of us with well trained pets (kind of like people that have snakes or kangaroos on planes as "service animals", but that is a whole different story). A 'dog room' is a name coined by me. Its a room, that when you walk in has a "unique" (not clean) smell and spots on the carpet that make you want to jump over, because you don't want to think of what caused them! I can't blame hotels that do that, because they don't want all their rooms soiled. Unfortunately, its pet owners that have abused locations that allow pets. Well, that was NOT the case with this Red Roof Inn...I was pleasantly surprised with the clean smell when I walked into the room. The dogs did their check of the room, but all was good. FYI, dog training tip: for those of you first time dog owners...keep your dog on their leash as they look around the room, if you think they might hike a leg - gently pull the leash and make a sound to stop them and get their attention. You can take them out, to do their business. They will learn where they can and can't go to try to cover some other pet's smell in a room or someone's house. No charge for that tidbit - haha! Ok, back to the room. The carpet was older with short pile, but there weren't spots. All amenities (TV and lights) worked fine for me. The building is older, but clean and safe are my biggest factors and it was good. I asked for a first floor room, so that I could get the dogs in and out easily and not disturb other guests. The staff was accommodating and friendly. There isn't a designated spot outside for dogs to do their business, but there were trashcans and the grounds looked decent with some picnic tables and a little fenced in pool. They offer a complimentary breakfast of juices, cereals and little muffins. Its a good deal for the price (and the staff had good customer service)...I would stay here again!

Amazing staff at a budget hotel
February 02, 2018

Red Roof Inn in Milton is definitely a budget hotel, but the incredible staff makes it a worthwhile stay. We arrived in the evening, exhausted from 12 hours of hauling two horses from Texas. There is an overnight barn nearby. The woman at check in could not have been more professional, friendly, informative and helpful. Truly surprising for a budget hotel. Then, I accidentally left a set of wireless headphones on the nightstand. I called and spoke with Chris to ask if they had been found. I spoke to her again two hours later. She had them and was sticking them in an envelope to mail back to me. When I offered to pay the postage, she told me no thanks and to just ‘pay it forward’. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and always found it pleasant, but this visit was stellar due to the amazing staff.

Near Gulf Islands National Seashore
January 21, 2018

I came to this town because it's near Gulf Islands National Seashore. The rates were reasonable. It has an elevator up to the third floor. The place looks clean. The king size bed was comfortable and the pillows were okay. The room is clean and things seem to work. There are a lot of plugs if you have to charge Electronics. The shower water was nice and hot and the towels were okay. The towels do not wrap around you. If you stay here bring your conditioner for your hair. There is a hair dryer. There's also a free breakfast.
