My stay at this Red Roof this time was unfortunately, disappointing. I had two rooms under my name and a total of four rooms between my friends and I. I stayed here the Friday before Veteran's Day for a concert at the fairgrounds. Upon arrival at 2:30pm I was told that there was no way I could check in early. However, ten minutes later a friend who was also staying at the hotel had called and they told her early check in was no problem. When I went back inside to check they were checking people in. SO the communication started out poor. I got the keys for our rooms and my room appeared to be fine however, the room I booked for my friends had a really strong chemical smell that I felt was unbearable. I asked to change the room that had the odor. The front desk was accommodating and moved to 221. However, my friends who also had a reservation were then put into the room with the smell (215). While my friends were in their room changing, a staff member briefly knocked and then entered the room while my friend had her top off. My other party members got keys to a room that was already booked and had people inside. The rooms were not the cleanest. My friend had stains on her towels. The next morning my friend woke up to find her car was towed. Apparently the tow company did not see her tag was registered on our check in paper work bc it was written in the incorrect spot. It was an unfortunate trip bc I have stayed here before and did not experience any of these inconveniences. My prior stay was very pleasant. To end on a good note I will say Olga at the front desk has always gone above and beyond for me (even when I call to confirm reservations or ask questions). Dan (the manager) was extremely helpful with recovering my friend's towed vehicle and they were able to get their car back free of charge. I stay here because I travel with my dog. The La Quinta next door is pet friendly as well. I have two upcoming reservations with the Red Roof but I am considering booking back at the La Quinta. Like I said, once very pleased, this was just an unfortunate stay.

I recently made a reservation for this hotel thru Hotels.com. Hotels.com sent me a confirmation email and I thought everything was ok. Upon my arrival, the hotel front desk employee Kate Lewis advised me that I was not in the system. I showed her the email and she tried but unsuccessfully located my reservation. I then called Hotels.com to clear this up. They confirmed I had a reservation and put me on hold as they called the front desk. After a few back and forth conversations with the hotels.com agent, I was told by them that I would have to rereserve my room. This was after 30 minutes of trying to check in. I have to give credit to Ms. Lewis who was very professional and understanding thruout the process. I am totally disappointed with Hotels.com. Having to redo my reservation meant I had to take a rate $25-$30 higher. I was about to just gather my things and leave, but Ms. Lewis stepped in and told me she would take care of it. She gave me the rate reflected on my confirmation email, actually a couple dollars less!... She saved the day for me. I had just driven 4 hours and was late to an event. The rating is only reflecting the level of hotel and its amenities. Customer servicewise 5 Stars! Thank you Ms. Lewis!!

Where do I start? The staff was amazing! The rooms were clean "dated" but clean. The rate was spectacular and they have the greatest greeters outside your door every morning. Let me elaborate, every morning I would wake up go down to the lobby and have a cup of coffee and chat with the front desk. While I'm in there a mother duck and her ducklings would be come to the door and wait to see the staff and guests. Then head back to the pond. GM is a great guy, very friendly and on top of the entire property I seriously don't think he goes home. All in all it is a great place to stay!!!

Kaye was very knowledgeable in her job and professional. If we have more people like her in given a 100% towards there guess. Thank you Kaye for the wonderful experience and service provided. We went down for Slamfest this yr, and it was all fine until we were about to go to bed and i decided to go to bed pulled back the mattress cover and the bed bugs started spreading, we went to the front office and they acted like it wasnt a big deal at all and we were faking it. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY THE STAFF ALL LOOK LIKE THEY ARE CRACKED OUT AND THEY ARE LIVING THERE MOST OF THEM. IT SEEMS TO BE A MORE SHADY HOTEL WE SAW ALOT OF HOOKERS AND WEIRDNESS ALSO. ALL IN ALL STAY AWAY.
