Somewhat wary, not problems!
We do the Tennessee South Florida thing just about every year. Macon is half way. On the way back we looked for Red Roof because we have an older cocker spaniel that goes everywhere with us. I had thought we had stopped here before, but when we turned in to the parking lot, it was like "oh god", it was at the edge of a deserted shopping center, desolate! I said to my wife "S?*t, we haven't been here before". But, upon entry and check in and yes, we checked the room, No. 105 for full disclosure, everything was fine, and it was a lobby hotel, not an old outside entrance motel. To boot, the breakfast was great with waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy plus juices and coffee. So, in the end, well worth the "sticker shock", and the dog slept great.!
