Good stay, good price, excellent staff

This is a good stay for the money. The staff is excellent, helpful and very nice to interact with. The rooms were kept clean and most of all, it was really quiet, especially considering it's in a very busy area. There is a fenced and shady dog run which I wish all pet friendly hotels would add. Perhaps there could be another post with doggie bags and trash can so as to encourage the patrons to pick up after their dogs as I noticed a lot of them did not. I plan to stay here again on another business trip.

I've always liked Red Roof Inns. The exterior corridor design is convenient when I'm traveling by car, the superior king room features a handy space to work, and the value for money is usually excellent. If you check out my prior reviews, you'll see that I had good things to say about the Red Roof in Greensboro, North Carolina, near the Coliseum. Unfortunately this Red Roof Inn falls far short of the quality I expect from that chain. The place is falling apart after years of deferred maintenance. The grounds are nasty and my superior king room was nowhere near as nice as the same room at other Red Roof locations. (Ignore the photos uploaded by the "ICE Portal." Total fakes.) The management has that suspicious, hard-ass vibe that comes from dealing with too many losers for too long. (At check-in I was required to sign a form they had created listing more than a dozen policies -- one of which was that I waived all my credit card rights in the event of a billing dispute. Now THAT'S a nice way to greet a customer!) Speaking of losers, that's the problem with this place. The majority of guests seem to be down-on-their-luck folks living there long term. I understand The Rent Is Too Damn High. I really do. And I am sympathetic to people who are barely getting buy. But that doesn't excuse being a jerk at the Red Roof Inn by busting up the rooms, littering and making all kinds of noise. Sigh. As they say down South: Some people are just SORRY. I paid about $75 per night (including tax) for my superior king room (which the housekeepers failed to clean). Looking on the bright side, nobody broke into my car and I haven't seen any funny charges on my credit card bill. If this is all you can afford, book the Norcross Red Roof Inn with you eyes open and plan on doing nothing more than sleeping there. Otherwise pay a little more and stay elsewhere.

Filthy and unresponsive

Bathroom floor was filthy. The hair and dirt accumulated in the corner by the tub was the first thing that stood out when I opened the bathroom door. Then the bar of soap from the previous guest still in the tub along with their body hair was the next housekeeping nightmare. When I complained the next morning I was given a form to fill out and told to list all my concerns. Who has time for that? I offered to walk to the room with the Mgr. and show him my concerns as it was only 6 doors away from the office but he had no interest. Get a tetnus shot if you're gonna stay.

We stayed for 3 nights and each time we returned all they did was pull the covers over the bed and leave a few towels on the first bed. Once or twice they did not remove the dirty towels or washcloths. Each day they did not give us hand towels and the last day did not give us washcloths. Wi-Fi did not work half the time and if you tried to connect an Apple product you had to call support not the front desk to get on. Floors were dirty and the parking lot was flooded.

I want say that this was a wonderful stay. Warm showers safe environment and piece and quiet. I would recomend this hotel to many more...we checked in and was able to go straight to our room with no problems. Wonderful customer service and great coffee.
