One of the best hotels we have stayed in for this price. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean and beds comfortable. We definitely will stay here again when we are passing through this area.

A room better than the reviews

This room was well furnished, clean, and actually had a comfortable bed. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful throughout the check-in/ check-out procedure. The hotel was located just off the interstate and not far from my venue.

Every spring a Scrabble tournament is held at the nearby Danville Community College and this year I spent my Saturday nite here as I did two years ago (didn't stay last year for the simple reason that where I stayed had a rock bottom deal elsewhere I could not resist or match). The reason I chose to come back was this was the very first lodging facility I stayed at with the most comfortable bed. I have since stayed at other hotels & motels with comfy beds but this one was the first ever for me in my adult life. So I came back. I was very impressed with the professionalism of all the staff here which says a lot. They treat you how you should be treated. Couldn't ask for better. Everything was in order when I checked into my room. What was really impressive were all the electrical outlets in the room (I counted 14 unused ones). Having stayed in facilities where hardly any open ones exist (for my laptop, personal fan and other items), this was such a blessing. In fact, I cannot recall any hotel/motel with so many (over half of them connect to light outlets in the wall as well as desktop lights). This is an outstanding feature, particularly if you need heavy electrical use when traveling. It was great. It beats all the other hotels in this clustered section of lodging immediately off of I-74 and the Illinois/Indiana state line. Price was quite fair for what you get. I have to admit I wasn't initially excited about my bed this time being rather highly propped up from the floor but as last time, it was just as comfy as in 2016. Had very good Internet connections, something an issue at many other places I stayed. Personally speaking, I prefer carpeting over hardwood floors in the rooms but then again I really shouldn't dock the Roof's rating for their decision to do so. Room fan was quiet and worked well, temperature control just about perfect. Was totally quiet in the hallways throughout the nite; nary a peep, yet my room was literally next to the elevator and the RR was advertised as at capacity. Totally pleased. My only real mini gripe was the swimming pool; yeah, it's small but the issue for me was the water was way way too warm. I'm the first one to say that hotel/motel pools are ideally best when they're not chilly but they shouldn't be this warm, probably the warmest I ever encountered. As a result, I stayed in the water for about 10 minutes (rather than a usual 30 minute swim) and then got out. Wish they had a hot tub here; officials wouldn't have to go far to make the transition, plus I would have spent more time in the water. RR officials, if you're reading this review, consider my recommendation; it will increase your business, trust me on that one. The hot morning breakfast was a delight, particularly with the hot biscuits and gravy, it was addicting. The staff serving the area kept the food replenished and with a warm friendly smile and touch. Very nice complement to an excellent overnite stay, can't quite give it 5 stars but 4½, you betcha. I will be back next year, maybe sooner. Finally, if you're trying to decide whether to stay here, the Super 8 or the Sleep Inn, head here. The Super 8 is fine for the most part; the RR is slightly better, however. There's also nothing wrong with the Sleep Inn if you don't mind its restrictive (so-called) environmentally friendly water policy which gives you scant water to flush and use the bathroom sink. I've stayed at all three places so I know what I'm talking about.

Newly remodeled room. Special three night rate. Included refrigerator and microwave. Delay in registration due to a prior customer issue and only one clerk on duty. Large room but very noisy heating unit that was annoying.

Very Pet Friendly

I Loved the vinyl flooring for our dog. This was his first experience at a hotel and we were concerned if the other dogs smells would overwhelm him. Not a problem with the vinyl floors. Very friendly staff, nice clean room, comfortable bed
