Horrible stay
April 08, 2018

Worst hotel ever! They discriminate against the disabled. If you have a service dog they claim your dog is getting complaints. The maid service cannot read or speak English well so can't tell the difference between Don not disturb and maid service wanted so he just walks in. I was in pajamas, he never stated maid service just walked right in. Called front desk- who btw are VERY rude and SHE just said oh he doesn't understand English he gets confused. No apology. Even though no smoking you WILL smell smoke at some point and very strong ethnic food which was very hard on my allergies and migraines. There is no elevator so if you are handicapped as myself you will not be put on first floor if you need a refrigerator or microwave as only guests on 2nd floor are allowed to have them. They simply said we'll just put your medication in our fridge instead of accommodating me. I said NO THANKS! The owners kids will run up and down hallways screaming and playing and again you will be told owner lives here and can do what they want! Also, don't be fooled in summer by pictures of outside pool- which is filled with stag water and trash right now. They are making it a parking lot. You get 2 towels, 2 hand towels and only got wash cloths once and they are paper thin. Please heed warning and avoid this hotel at all costs if you are planning on staying longer than one night. No breakfast either and the ice machine on 2nd floor has not worked for months- another issue for disabled. The candy machine is filthy and never stocked.

Reasonably priced stay
April 07, 2018

This was our first time at this Red Roof (although we did stay here when it used to be the Super 8). For the money, it was a nice stay. Where it loses points is in its clientele. Many of the people staying there have been there for months. Many are construction workers that are loud, foul-mouthed, inconsiderate and have no clue on how to park. Also, the walls are paper thin; so, just hope you don't get stuck next to any loud people and/or barky dogs. Parking is available, but the spaces are rather narrow. There was a tent (looked to be somewhat permanently pitched) near the motel (you'll see it as you look toward I-70)-----so, a homeless person lives there??? Anyway, the ladies at the front desk are nice. They're very helpful and polite. We'd go back, but it wouldn't be a first choice. Overall, the area seems reasonably safe.

Dog Kennel Inn
April 07, 2018

Based on the good reviews, I decided to stay here....knowing, you get what you pay for! I was prepared to give a good review until this morning and it sounded like we'd stayed in a dog kennel 3-4 dogs barking back and forth and since the walls are paper thin, it sounded like they were in the room with us! The night front desk crew were great...very accommodating, thanks so much!! The rooms were clean, great job housekeeping!!

Good place to rest
March 31, 2018

For the money, this is a great place. It is newly remodeled, so new there are still signs of construction outside the property. If you see a building that looks like the lobby, keep following the signs to the actual lobby which is located right in the center of the main building. We were early; they were good enough to let us in the room anyway. The front desk clerk was kind and efficient. The room was impeccably clean(no, I didn’t have a black light) and new. The hotel does not have a conference room as most of their customers are travelers. They do not have breakfast but they have coffee made in the lobby all the time. You rarely hear highway noise.

Excellent Value
January 13, 2018

In a world (as the movie preview people say) where you sort of roll the dice for the value of the room for the money spent, the Red Roof Inn of Richmond, IN, is terrific. Right off the highway, easy access to the sites east central Indiana offers, and with constant - and consistent - upgrades, this is a favorite of the Red Roof Inns. (And if you ever stayed there back when it was a TERRIBLE "Super 8," you will be EXTRA happy with what they've done with the place!)
